Hi ladies

I finally had a Thrombophelia Screening (including cardiolopin and phospholipid Antibodies) done by the nhs. What does this test include exactly? I couldn't really find smt on the net. And how reliable is it?

We are trying for nearly 3 years (we have a 7 yrs old dd), since than had 2 mc and both my mum with 45 and my grandfather (father of my mum) died with 70 of lung embolism.

Look forward to hear from you.

Regards

Hi honeypie this link gives you details on the standard NHS testing.

I think the results are accurate - I'm heterozygous for factor v leiden. I had two mcs so for my two successful deliveries was on Clexane from when I found out I was pregnant until six weeks after delivery. I was also on 75mg aspirin for the first 28 weeks.

Hope that's helpful.

Hi Proceeding

Thank you so much for the link, that is exactly what I was after but couldn't find on the web :)

I am glad to hear that you have two lovely children.

Could I ask when your mc's took place? Mine were in the 7th and 12th week. My consultant said though that mc due to bloodclotting disorders occur in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.

Regards
