Is test invalid?

I did a test last night as I'm 3 days late and I'm usually early, it came up negative so I threw it in the bin, looked at it again this morning and there's a really really faint line when held up to the light, is it invalid or could there be a chance i'm pregnant?

Only had DS 7 and half months ago!

Technically, Whingey, they would say it's a negative and to wait until later to retest. My experience is that it's a very faint positive.....

my dd was a faint positive on a test that had missed the bin when I initially chucked it because it was negative. saw it a few hours later when I picked it up to put it in the bin!

They say only read within 5 minutes because after that evaporation lines can appear. However DS1 pregnancy gave me a negative that I binned and turned + over the hour. Next morning I got an instant positive with FMU.
