Hello, anyone on the list having sub-fertility treatment. Had my 1st appointment yesterday with my Gynie, saw her last 3 years ago when I gave borth to my daughter conceieved on Metformin. Have a scan on Friday afternoon to see my ovaries and then have a blood test on 10th May to see if I actually ovulated this month. Currently taking Clomid and Metformin for Polycystic Ovarian syndrome.

I'm not undergoing the treatment but will probably have to if decide to pursue baby #3 as I have PCOS and had to have help conceiving baby#1 (but not baby#2!), so I hope you don't mind me asking what metformin is used for and whether it's compatible with ttc as my GP did mention it but didn't actually prescribe it. I did take clomid on its own to conceive my first baby and it made me ovulate for several months after I stopped taking it! Good luck!

According to Leslie Regan (miscarriage and fertility oracle, St Marys hospital) Tamoxifen is better than clomid for inducing ov in PCOS sufferers as clomid can raise already high leteinizing hormone levels. Might be worth looking into.

Hi Bunny

Thanks for that, I have another gynie appointment on Monday 10th May at Dewsbury hospital. I will bring this up then, I am leaving work in 10 minutes for my scan. Fingers crossed.

Well had my ultrasound on Friday and another one today (as they weren't sure of my dates), and all looks ok. A few small cysts were found, but they had to go hunting them down, not that visible but there (last time you could see them like a string of pearls on each ovary).
They found 3 follicles (not quite sure what this means, but they are there, so.....).
Will ask more questions when I see the gynie on 10th May. If anyone knows about follicles, please give me an insight.
