Advice about opk - two positives in a month

On CD15 of this cycle I thought I got a positive opk. The line gradually got darker up to that point and then faded quite quickly over the next couple of days. I also felt what I thought were ovulation pains the next day and had EWCM for a couple of days either side, but my temperatures haven't risen. For some reason I thought I'd do an opk test again today CD20(probably because I am obsessed with poas) and the test line was darker than I have ever had. We are going to BD tonight just in case, but I am really confused as to why the LH rose and then fell and is now back - I know I can't ovulate twice! My cycle is slightly irregular, anywhere between 28 to 33 days and I have menorrhagia during my periods. I don't know if this would affect anything. If I do ovulate now, then would that mean I have a luteal phase defect? My CM is creamy now as well and cervix is high and can't really reach it (whereas on day 15 it was EW and low and soft). I just don't know what to think. I did a pregnancy test and it was negative. Any advice?

I was sure that I ovulated 3 times last cycle but only tested on the 1st one and got LH surge. That cycle was 37 days with 1st ovulation CD14, then the other 5-7 days later. This cycle CD12 and CD16 I've had LH surges with negatives in-between. I did tests with both CB and cheap OPKs. I get ovulation pain and ewcm with each LH surge but then the ewcm goes away between.

Wow that's really interesting new research. Thanks for sharing that, maybe it was a second ovulation then. We BDd so hope we caught it.

As of this morning I have now had 3 LH surges with negatives in between this cycle. This morning was the strongest line I've ever had on a cheap OPK. Good thing I made a very reluctant tired DH get on with it last night.
