Question re blood in cervical mucus / how long mucus remains egg-whitey for (warning, may be tmi)

I've had blood-tinged cervical mucus for the past eight days - from day 20 to day 27 of an approximately 35 day cycle, so around the time of ovulation (I think; I'm not temping or using opks). I've never had this before. Initially I thought that it might be ovulation bleeding, but seems to be going on a bit long for that? Then I thought maybe implantation bleeding, but would be a bit too early for that? Also, the cm has remained egg-whitey for much longer than usual - this is really annoying me as I want to be sure that I have done ovulating for the month so that I can stop feeling compelled to have sex everyday for fear of missing the window. Anyone else had this? Really hoping that it might be an earlier indicator of pregnancy, but I can't test for another week.

Is it possible you have scratched yourself internally when checking CM? If not then I would take it as a relatively positive sign. Fingers crossed for you. :-)
