Afternoon all just looking for some general conception advice!

We are looking to start trying again soon but after having a MC a few months back my cycles still aren't back to normal, although the number of days I am late by gets less each month.

So any recommendations for ovulation tests? How long before TTC should you be taking pre conception vitamin for? And is there anything else I should be doing?!

TIA

So sorry for your loss. Miscarriage really is one of the shittest experiences to battle through. And it takes away the innocence of pregnancy. But as you'll know, it's very unlikely to happen again, so YAY, glad you're trying again!
I've used the clear blue digital ones. I like the smiley face you get. They are about £30 for a month's supply, but I've fallen pregnant twice in them. 1st time the first cycle trying, 2nd time the second cycle trying. So I've found them super effective. (I'm a rare case and suffer from recurrent miscarriages - not wanting to frighten you) but I love the tests as they've really helped me control when I fall pregnant. As without them it took me 4 months, then a whole very painstakingly long 8 months.
I'm currently very tentatively pregnant again. Hoping this is the one that works out.
I've taken prenatal vitamins pretty much when ever I'm not pregnant. I use the couples one, conceive plus I think it's called. Plus I take vitamin D and folic acid (as extra folic acid was recommended post MC). I also drink tonnes of water to keep everything nicely hydrated and I do a weird thing that I only drink alcohol during the 2 weeks from when AF arrives til I ovulate. Then mine at all.
Wishing you lots of luck and a calm uneventful pregnancy.

Thanks for the reply 3, wishing you sticky dust and not too many pregnancy symptoms!

It is really shit isn't it, especially as I felt the OH just didn't "get it"
Last pregnancy I was prescribed the high dose folic acid but was able to buy the high dose vital D from boots so will stock up on those and some digital sticks. I was hoping someone would recommend them, was looking at some amazon cheapies but the thought of doing the whole "is it a line" before I'd even tried to conceive makes me want to cry!

I did try the cheap internet paper ones too. But they were too high maintenance. The digi ones are so straightforward, and when you get the smiley face it makes you feel like you've achieved something (even if there's not a pregnancy 2 weeks later). And it feels good to at least have some control over what your body is doing regarding fertility. Plus my DH liked seeing the smiley face as he knew he'd be in for a good night after work! TTC can be so stressful and scheduling sex isn't romantic. So any help to speeding things up I welcomed.
I so hope you get that BFP soon. X
