I feel a bit silly asking this! Is it the obvious i.e. dh is given a pot, told to do his business and off we go? Or is there more to it? Is there a time limit (awkward!). Can I be with him? I feel rather sorry for him actually Blush

It has to be in the lab within a very short period of time. The deal at out hospital was - into small room with magazines etc. and pot, do the business, pop it through little window with the form. Back out to reception, let them know sample is there and off he pootled back to work.

Similar to the above. DH was sent into the "wanky porn room" with a pot, a permanent marker and a paper bag. He got to watch some "high quality porn. Not your Channel 5 soft stuff" and spank off into a pot. Once finished, DH had to scribble his name and hospital number in the pot, give it a quick wipe and put it in a paper bag ready to hand in at a window.

One of the most blush enduring moments moments of life was when DH took 2mins 30 second to return his pot to the window. I was ShockShockShockBlush

Some hospitals don't provide anywhere for samples to be 'produced' Wink my DH was given a pot by the GP, then we had to get it to the hospital in 30 mins. It was a classy journey, me with a pot of spunk in my trousers Grin

Nomaybeaboutit that's how ours works.

Hubby has a sample pot- he has to ring the hospital to book a time to take it it. Do his business at home then drive it straight there keeping the sample pot as close to body temperature as possible.

Ours was at a clinic, went into a small room, I was allowed in, there were no magazines or tv and there was a sign saying if it took longer than 30 mins to contact reception to re-book an appointment

My dh was allowed to sobit at home, although there was a time limit on getting it to the hospital. He drove with it in his waistband as they suggested and results were fine. But yes, it is just sample in pot, hand pot to reception and fill in a form! Xx

My DH handed his in last week - we were told to get it there ASAP but we're about 40 minutes door to door. Results were fine though.
