Last month I drove myself nuts with symptom spotting and early poas. I had every sign and symptom going and was convinced I was pregnant. Luckily I kept a list of all my many symptoms on a calendar so this time if necessary I can remind myself that pms has all the same same features as early pregnancy.
I'm determined not to test until 23rd, as I think I should come on then if I'm going to, must stay strong!! Anyone want company in ignoring the whole thing?!

running that's so disappointing for you, especially as you had a feeling. forty I have had that sense of wishing your life away. Sometimes you need to let yourself feel the sadness, if it's there lurking. I had trouble having my first dc (recurrent Mc) and for a long time felt I was only just keeping my head above water. Looking back it's all a blur. Flowers for you, hang in there.

Thank you TemperamentalIts really pants I feel like ive let life slip away from me (Im 38 in a couple of months) and I really dislike that feeling, Silly isnt it all those years of trying not to get pregnant .. I mean who bloody knew how hard it would be .

Fingers crossed for you for BFP this month :)

I decided last month not to buy any more tests until AF is late by a few days I haven't had my regular bout of POAS the last two months. Im strangely missing it ;) and it doesn't help that DH is a worse symptom spotter than I am with his blooming app on his phone :).

doomkittycleo · 21/04/2015 21:59

I'm actually doing quite well so far. Had car trouble past 2 days so with all the stress of that been too busy to think about possible symptoms. I'm 4dpo today so it's likely to get tougher at the weekend as I'll be less busy.

fuzzywuzzy · 22/04/2015 15:06

Good luck everyone, I'm out this month, spent a few days feeling really upset, but I can't do that.

How does one go back to just enjoying it, I feel like I am just incredibly anxious about getting pregnant and it's making me crazy.

Keep telling myself it will happen wen the time is right.

On the upside I've never been so in tune with my body before!

FortySixandTwo · 22/04/2015 15:27

Ah fuzzy disappointing news sorry :(! No idea how you go back to just enjoying the journey but if you find out come back and let me know :) I'm sure there's more than a few ladies on here looking for those answers. unfortunately x

FortySixandTwo · 22/04/2015 15:29

Ha ha doom where else but on a tww thread would 2 day car troubles be seen as a blessing

FortySixandTwo · 22/04/2015 18:05

Oops sorry doom just reread my last comment didn't mean for it to sound rude was lighthearted MN stole my smiley sorry Blush

temperamentalamongcorvids · 22/04/2015 18:43

Lovely weather here and lots of pottering about in the garden, which is a great way to pass the time. Work tomorrow for me, a slightly less great way to pass the time as I don't really like my job, but the day goes quickly. Af due on the 28th for me, am going to avoid early testing this time.

It didn't seem insensitive forty, I agree with you :) I'm doing a lot better at not obsessing than last month.

Just a shame my partner and I have argued quite a bit since last month, mainly cus he's fed up of me stressing. I'm trying not to worry about worrying.

5dpo and absolutely no symptoms as far as I can tell tell. Guess that's a good sign cus months when I have had symptoms af came.

FortySixandTwo · 23/04/2015 07:58

Temperamental Oh lovely what are you growing, I'm a novice gardener and just started planting my own veggies (I think I've been a bit ambitious as they don't seem to be growing very well) Do you think you can hold out to the 28th ? AF due tomorrow for me but I'm starting for feel that heavy feeling now so think she'll make her monthly visit :(

Doom Phew didn't want to sound stand offish. Sorry you are having arguments with your partner, Its awful isn't it :(. Sometimes partners do not understand the pressure we feel on a monthly basis. Have you decided what to make yet with your newly acquired skills ? Fingers crossed for your no symptoms :) xx

littlebbunny · 23/04/2015 07:59

Joining in, hope you ladies don't mind.

Temp I'm expecting af on the 29th. Going to hold off till the day after.

Doom last cycle, I got my bfp after 3 months of ttc and had no symptoms, sadly that ended in mc but everyone is different. A friend of mine is about to give birth and she had no symptoms until the end of trimester 2. Keeping my fx for you.

Viewofhedges · 23/04/2015 12:12

Can I join in?

AF was due on Tues. It's still not here, and this is the longest I've waited since 'records officially began' (we started TTC in 2013). I POAS this morning for the first time ever (always held off for AF before), but got a BFN (and also set off the alarm in Sainsburys when I bought the damn thing, and had to show it to the security guard!)

Very strange. Have never been this late. Feel a bit queasy. Feels strange that lots of women on threads like this get a BFN and then a week later get a BFP, when these tests are supposed to be 99% accurate! But I really think it should be wrong this time. Especially as we're now waiting for referral for IVF, which I really don't want.

Gah.

doomkittycleo · 23/04/2015 19:45

The teacher has chosen a dress for the whole class to make so she can show us techniques etc.

Thanks littlebunny that's positive reassurance.

I think my partner is just worried about me. He hates seeing me upset and wants me to be kind to myself so I don't go through the tears and tantrums each cycle.

Hate not being able to control everything Confused!

Cherrybellyboo · 24/04/2015 07:52

Can I join?
I'm not 100% sure when to test as I'm still bf'ing my 10 month old and haven't had a period yet, I'm going to test Tuesday. :)

In the past doom I've found in the past planning nice distractions helps, but it can be a really hard time.

Viewofhedges · 24/04/2015 09:05

I'm out. AF arrived in horrid crampy style at 5am. Over 2.5 years of trying - I was so hopeful! And it really felt like it was happening.

How do people count days when AF arrives unusually late?

Meh. Now I have to face the reality of ivf. Really didn't want to go there, but I'm 38 and the doctor says its our only hope. Wish we could have proved her wrong.

Good luck to everyone else.

mrschatty · 24/04/2015 09:20

Hi everyone I'm jumping in!!! Ttc #1 now on m19 currently cd 19 of 29 and I know it's early but u SWEAR I will not be symptom spotting...give me strength ladies x

FortySixandTwo · 24/04/2015 16:15

I'm out too as expected hoping that now AF is here the soreness in my boobs will go.

Doom will it be something you'd wear or is it not your style ?

Good luck to everyone still in their two week wait hoping for plenty of BFPs from you all

doomkittycleo · 24/04/2015 18:41

Probably not cus it's a bit of a lose fit. She did say we can adjust them to give it a waistline so will have to ask her to show me how to do that

FortySixandTwo · 24/04/2015 18:52

Ah that's a shame I hope with the waistline it works out for you :)

Im just swishing round the house in an internet cheap dress I bought wondering if I'm brave enough to try hemming it a bit :)

temperamentalamongcorvids · 24/04/2015 20:11

So sorry, view. I can imagine it must be very hard after af being late. I'd just count today as day one and yesterday as day 35 or whatever.

I suspect I'm out too, crampy and absent minded, typical af symptoms for me. Tiny bit of blood at cervix when I checked.

OP posts:
doomkittycleo · 25/04/2015 07:51

My af is due Tuesday based on my post pill 25-26 day cycles. Weird cus I'll only be 11 dpo when she's due. Don't want to test unless I end up late.

Need to keep busy this weekend

temperamentalamongcorvids · 25/04/2015 10:00

Same here, doom af due Tuesday but will try to hold off testing till she's actually late.

OP posts:
bubblegeek22 · 25/04/2015 12:10

Hi ladies, hope I can join in :)

I am 4dpo and it already feels like it's been forever! This is my first cycle ttc and I'm very nervous/excited!
I had the implant originally but had that taken out over a year ago, to give my body lots and lots of time to get back to normal.
I have beautiful 28 day cycles so I'm just hoping I will be late this month! Not poas til then though!

doomkittycleo · 26/04/2015 09:08

I've started with af type cramps, but only due on Tuesday and that's assuming it's another 25 day cycle. If I come on any earlier I'll be well annoyed. How will I ever get pregnant if my cycles get shorter than 25 days :-(

Blackandwhitecat3 · 26/04/2015 16:40

Just ghosting, but doom I saw your post. Acupuncture may help - it can lengthen your cycle.
