Last month I drove myself nuts with symptom spotting and early poas. I had every sign and symptom going and was convinced I was pregnant. Luckily I kept a list of all my many symptoms on a calendar so this time if necessary I can remind myself that pms has all the same same features as early pregnancy.
I'm determined not to test until 23rd, as I think I should come on then if I'm going to, must stay strong!! Anyone want company in ignoring the whole thing?!

I went a bit insane the first couple months (been ttc since Jan) testing and spotting. Took it easy this month (was so relaxed only remembered to dtd twice) have had 4 bfp's today. On cheapir internet ones. Havent braved a clear blue yet! Wish me luck!

beckiepea83 · 17/03/2015 15:34

Oh my gosh I love this thread and think I will fit in well here! TTC first time like you lilyb83, also my second cycle.

Last month I'm drove myself crazy symptom spotting and I am really REALLY trying not to do it this time. It only leads to disappointment and testing early last month and seeing that BFN just lead to me feeling 'blah'. So not this month. Sorry to hear about your MC's gakay! The trial you are doing sounds quit good. Hope the witch doesn't show up for you. AF is due Sunday to visit me!

Oooh good luck buggerlumpsannoyed and congrats on the BFP!!!!

lilyb84 · 17/03/2015 17:58

Hi temperamental and beckie - glad to know I'm not the only one going crazy so early into trying, or the only one having to hide tests Smile I actually walked past the test aisle in Superdrug earlier and felt quite proud of myself...

Aah, I hope congrats are in order buggerlumps!!

temperamentalamongcorvids · 17/03/2015 18:06

Bugger congratulations! (that was weird to type) I think you can safely assume you're pregnant, especially after 4 tests in a day!!! I don't think there's any material difference between the different kinds, just packaging and price. Nice to hear of the relaxed approach working.

bugger congrats! That's awesome news! Smile and so refreshing to hear that the relaxed approach worked for you. I'm sure the clearblue will confirm your BFP Smile

fuzzywuzzy · 17/03/2015 20:06

Bugger congratulations Smile, pretty sure the cheapies are reliable.

I buy mine from the pound shop.

I have the worse cramps today feel sick from them. This will be our second cycle too I've not been using OPK's, just charting via my cycle which obviously decides to play up when normally I'm pretty much steady on a regular 25 day cycle.

Amara123 · 17/03/2015 21:04

Yes Sleepybunny! Friday testing if AF doesnt turn up, the old rascal! Meet you back here later in the week. Smile

beckiepea83 · 18/03/2015 05:13

Fuzzy, I have not started charting yet and we are just going with the flow so to speak. Don't know how long that will last mind you! I'm sure I can already feel AF on its way. Looks like I may get an early visit!

Well done lily on walking past those tests. You are a stronger woman than I. Saying that I hate buying them. I feel like I am being judged. I am 31 but am small so most people think I am younger. Wanna explain I'm almost 32 and in a long term relationship!!!! I have four tests still but after they have gone think I'll send OH to get some. Though they should last as I will NOT be testing early.... maybe!

Tammisaurus · 18/03/2015 07:10

Hi ladies, I hope you don't mind me joining in. Currently 8dpo. Last tww was awful, I was banging out symptoms like there was no tomorrow but AF arrived right on time. So I swore to myself I will just ignore this tww and the symptom spotting because I want to feel sane for once! I was driving myself round the twist with it all.
I'm glad we are all in the same boat here!

lilyb84 · 18/03/2015 08:28

Welcome tammi! And becki, I'm similarly 31-but-look-younger but being a paranoid type have bought so many tests over the years I've forgotten how to feel embarrassed Grin

Have to admit to caving a bit and testing with a leftover OPK as I've read they can also detect pregnancy. BFN of course and I feel like a right muppet.

Determined to hold off now until the weekend when AF is due but it's super hard to distract myself! Anyone got any tips?! Smile

temperamentalamongcorvids · 18/03/2015 08:45

Welcome tammi, seems you're in the right place. Smile

becki you could buy your tests online to save your blushes Wink and probably some money too.

9dpo. How time drags.

Welcometammi! Smile yes we have all been through the same thing so can help each other to stay sane this month!!
lily and becki I am also a small 31 (turned 31 today actually!).
lily just think you don't want to see another BFN by testing too early, we can help distract you here! Grin

Oysterbabe · 18/03/2015 09:00

2DPO. Feel a bit sick. Defo prego Wink

fuzzywuzzy · 18/03/2015 09:09

Woolly happy birthday.

I am in agony this month, the cramps just will not go. I need to be constantly sitting down. Feel shattered and slept really deeply last night.

I have two DD's already form previous marriage this will (hopefully when it happens) be the first for DP. I'm scared tho as it took a long time to conceive for me and I'm way older now.

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 12:35

So it's a week before I can POAS and my boobs are so sore and heavy Blush not symptom spotting at all 6DPO this is my first cycle and I have a DD aged 4 I can honestly say I can't remember being this hung up on symptoms back then!

Sleepybunny · 18/03/2015 12:40

I know I said we weren't symptom spotting, but this heartburn! I've never ever had this before!

fuzzywuzzy · 18/03/2015 12:44

Have you eaten anything different recently? Sometimes prenatal vitamins also do odd things to our bodies. Not long till Friday now Smile

temperamentalamongcorvids · 18/03/2015 12:52

fuzzy I get it. I'm 38 in July and have 2dc but am prone to mc (4 to date). Getting pg has been relatively easy in the past, 5 months being the longest ttc. HAnging on to them is another matter. I was 30 when we first started ttc and I have a fear (possibly irrational) that I might be pushing my luck a bit.

Happy birthday woolly! Hope you're celebrating in style Smile

fuzzy and temperamental, I hope it all works out for you.

All the symptoms I've been having seem to have disappeared today so I've now just got a rubbish cold which probably explains why I'm feeling a bit sick (and painful boobs, but that just seems to be true 3 weeks out of 4 these days anyway). No symptoms makes it much easier to stop symptom spotting!! Wink

Woolly84 · 18/03/2015 14:31

Thank you fuzzy and lily! DH and I are off to Portugal for a few days so that should help distract me for a bit of the TWW at least!! Smile
fuzzy I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish, try and think positively, it will happen Smile
temperamental sounds like you've been through a lot, really hope it happens for you soon and is a sticky one.
Hehe lily I hope I don't get any symptoms either for the same reason! Wink
proud and sleepy hang on in there and resist the early POAS temptation! Smile

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 14:58

Thanks Woolly hope you have a relaxing few days in Portugal!

beckiepea83 · 18/03/2015 15:27

Happy Birthday Wolly. Hope you enjoy your holiday. I am very jel ;-)

Online ordering is a good option. Oh yes they are so expensive. So that'll save me pennies and my blushes.

Tamm, I know what you mean about driving yourself around the twist! I'm trying so hard not to symptom spot but I feel myself breaking. Ooh no!

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 15:28

If I got a positive OPK on CD13 how long would I have to DTD just checking something

Oysterbabe · 18/03/2015 15:30

Everyone is different I think. 24-48 hours?

Proudmummy2456 · 18/03/2015 15:37

Thanks Smile
