Hi

I am new here. I previously posted this at the end of an older thread then I thought that it might be more appropriate as a new thread. I wondered if anyone had a similar experience to me. I can't seem to find anything on the web similar. I came off the pill in November, after 6 years, not actually to conceive right now but to give my body a rest. I didn't have a period for 7 weeks (other than the withdrawal bleed) and was a little concerned but heaved a sigh of relief when it did come. But now we are nearly 10 weeks later and nothing. I have read loads of stories about people not having a period for months after coming off the pill but not having one and then going ages! I almost wish the first one had not happened! We have not taken any risks but I did a pregnancy test last week just in case but it was negative. I am not really too surprised that this period was delayed a little because a couple of weeks after the last period I had a really bad strep throat with high fever and had antibiotics for 2 weeks, followed by thrush (TMI?) but I can't imagine that that would delay things this long. I know that my periods were not that regular before I went on the pill but I was only 15 and had only had them for 2 years, and I never waited this long before. I know I am not TTC at the moment but it is something that I desperately want in the near future and am starting to worry that this means there is something wrong. Any comments would be really welcome. Thank you.

Thank you squidgey. I will try that. But just wondering if you have ever heard of the second period being the one that is delayed more than the first?
Many thanks.
