advice needed to prevent complete insanity!

So ttc #1 since december with no luck so far. Cycles pretty regular in fact never had a late af in my lifetime even while on depo injection still like clockwork.
This month af currently 2 days late and so so tired all the time and boobs sore, Nipples so hard i could hang a coat on them if it weren't for the tenderness sorry tmi, and lower abdo cramps for a week. Took a cheap test yesterday faint positive (I think). Couldn't believe my eyes were not deceiving me so went and bought a tesco digital (figured no need to squint), tested this am fmu and negative. Still no af. So confused and anxious. Any one have any experience of this test type? I can find nothing to say what the sensitivity is so thinking maybe just a low sensitivity and need to wait and see / test again in a few days?
My job means I have to be super careful if I'm pregnant loads of health and safety malarkey so I'd really like to know either way soon. Thanks in advance. Rio x

Sounds like early days with different minimum levels for reaction on the tests. I find the cheapie ones test quite early but you have to squint to see the line! Just watch for the line to get darker with your days.... If it doesn't, there is a chance that it's just not 'stuck'.. surprisingly common, usually because the baby isn't viable.

Thank you for your reply. Nothing happening af wise yet so just waiting and trying to be patient. Will probably cave and retest with a frer tomorrow or Tuesday

I have no advice but in the same situation. AF due 3 days ago but I've been using the digital tests & getting a not pregnant. Going to buy one with the lines tomorrow. Fx for us both!

DH snuck out in middle of the night & got some tesco tests with lines. He's a star! But still absolutely negative - I've squinted at it every way imaginable & nada. But still no AF. Did you do a frer rio? The wait is killing me.

Couldn't get an frer anywhere must be a lot of ttc ladies in my city?! But got a 20mlu test and bfn. Today started bleeding a lot and in agony so guess af is here with a vengeance so better luck next time for me and fx for you you get your bfp soon

Aw Rio thats rubbish. Get the wine opened tonight then. I'm now 5 days late - tested again this morning & still BFN??!!! x

River did you get your bfp?

i actually took about 7 tests over 1.5 weeks before they started showing as positive so if your period is late you could well be pregnant but the HG levels may not be strong enough to detect it yet. i have my fingers crossed for you!
