Hi all, I have a 9mo DD and went on the pill after her birth around six months ago. It was awful and I came off it in November. My periods arrived again as normal in Dec, Jan and Feb with the usual 30-31 day cycle I had prior to being pregnant. I also returned to normal six weeks after the birth and was only on the pill a couple of months.
Since leaving contraception behind six years ago my periods have always been regular, even with hypothyroidism that we diagnosed eighteen months ago. So to have this wierd randomness with my period not appearing is really scaring me. DH and I were of the mindset of if it happens, it happens with regard a second baby so I was understandably excited to be late then gutted when I tried testing a couple of days ago. So when I wiped early yesterday morning and saw very pale pink I thought oh good at least that is here. Then I wiped again later that day to bright red blood so I promptly put a pad on. But nothing on the pad and nothing since! So I guess that's spotting?
I bought some real cheap tests and tried middle of the day and then again yesterday morning and not even a hint of a line. With dd it appeared even before the test had finished the control bit so I am guessing this is just a very random cycle?
Do took 2 years to conceive so I am not one who falls pregnant easily! But still clinging to the hope I just might be pg. I definitely ovulated and have had all my usual symptoms and cramping and moodiness. So it is very strange. Any advice would be welcome.
