Bleeding 2 weeks early?!?!

I started bleeding this morning. I am 2 weeks early and the bleeding is fairly heavy with a few clots. But still no where near as heavy as a period. anyone had any thing similar or know what could be the cause?

I should be this week. But never had ovulation bleeding this heavy before

This happened to me in February, 1 period 2 weeks after the last and quite heavy. GP said it's just a one off and no reason for it! Confused the hell out of me though!
