i think it goes down by 0.5 for every 30mins so my guess is it should be 34.18? Someone else please correct me if i am wrong.

desperate2bmum · 28/10/2006 11:21

my previous temps were...

cd3 36.28
cd4 36.24
cd5 36.30
cd6 36.30

so temp of 34.18 will be very low, cant believe i have screwed it up again this is what happened last month when i tried temping

In my booklet that I got with my thermometer it has Questions&Answers... I've overslept and missed the usual time at which I have been testing. What should I do? Don't panic. Simply record your temperature as soon as you wake up.

It doesn't say anything about converting it. In the instructions it says make a note if it was earlier or later than usual; ignore any disturbed readings.

I guess this could count as a disturbed reading?? Is it a crucial time?? (sorry, that's nosy) but one wrong reading shouldn't ruin the whole chart unless it coincides with OV??

Or am I being "fick"?? this is my first go at charting (and I started on CD10 so just getting into the routine) so not too sure.

thanks natty and ready4motherhood.

il think il record both your answers and just put question mark by them on my chart and say on the miscellaneous bit "overslept"

The TCOYFSoftware converts late/ early temps as Natty says but if it is several hours later I think you ought to either disregard today's temp (hopefully it isn't a vital one) or write a note just to remind you.

Hope tomorrow's vibration is bigger!!!!!

desperate2bmum · 28/10/2006 16:26

at vibration remark!!

i have recorded the result and put "overslept" in the notes part. i dont have the tcoyf software i tried the trial but found it a tad confusing.

wasnt an important day only cd7.

thanks for your help girls i knew i could rely on you!!

Was thinking and could be totally wrong, but perhaps converting temps should be 0.05 of a degree for every 30 mins??? rather than 0.5 of a degree??

In which case your temp could be converted to 36.28???

I might be wrong as I am a newbie to temping, but this seems like it would put your temp at a similar figure to the other days??

Hi Desperate...slow down...it will not be the end of the world.

According to the book...Taking charge of your fertility...

your body temp rises with approximately 0.1 degrees per hour. So it should be in the order of 36.2/36.1 but I would mark it as a "rule of thumb" meaning do not count it as part of your chart...

HTH

ready4motherhood · 28/10/2006 16:44

yay!! there was me thinking I might be talking nonsense, but mum2funkydude has vindicated me!!

.1 per hour is 0.05 per 30 mins!! Am I getting the hang of this temping!?
