Cycle Confusion. Mumsnetters Advice Needed

Hi all, I usually spot for two days which gets heavier before fully coming on on or around the third day. Now we've been ttc for around 3 years and really seriously since I had a mc at Christmas. So my confusion is, which is cycle day 1? I have always taken it as the third day when the proper bleeding started. Am I right? Thank L

I think it is when you first see bleeding, no matter how much. Happy to be corrected though.

I saw a gp the other day- she said it's from when you first get any blood.

I have been told it's the first day of full flow
