20 days late for period negative test!

Hello everyone,
I have been testing like a mad woman lately and have spent a small fortune. Just hoping someone can offer some advice or support. Visited doctor today and they took blood and urine samples will get results today. Don't know why my period is late and yet all the hpt tests have come back negative.

sometimes you just skip a period. Happened to me Oct/Nov last year.

Thank you for your comment, I hope thats all it is and nothing more sinister. Hopefully my period will turn up soon if I am not pregnant so I can try again.

I got to 21 days late, when I was pregnant with ds. Doctors refused to do any tests until missed 2 periods, so you have been lucky.

Currently 17 days late as well with a pile of negatives. Very irritating!

I'm 8 days late just now as we are ttc dc2. Don't even want to test again.
Thou I've just noticed my tests expired about 6 months ago. As I had them when trying for ds. So have ordered new ones, not testing again until the new ones arrive.

Snap! 12 days late today. And BFN all the way. I am fed up of symptoms watching. Trying to just move on and wait for potential next period. Beyond irritating!!

Hi I am 15 days late and 4 neg tests... Went to the doc, she said wait and see!! We have been TTC and last month were accurate with the opk so was hoping ..
But 4 neg tests???? Any idea? X

I have now matched your 20 days late. Still BFN. I am having lots of coming on signs such as irritable, tired and achey down below. But no sign of starting. I will wait til day 48 and if there is still no show I will go back to my Dr I think.

I had the same thing - ended up 40 days late and took tablets to kick start things. Got pregnant the next cycle. My doctor said it was due to a cyst he found on a previous ultrasound. Good luck!

I'm 7 days late been burning tests also but I bought a load from ebay £3.15 for 20 which I thought was a good price little strips because I know I end up burning through them.

My first born took 6 weeks+ to show up a positive test so could some of us have a issue with HCG levels?

I have cramping and stretching like period type pain but I also had from 4-9 weeks the worst in that pregnancy too so its so hard to tell what your body is actually doing.

I just want to know either way to stop the wait,, I think the wait is making me stressed which could be making me more late. Vicious cycle :(

I'm 13 days late (just by a few hours) I stopped testing when I posted was killing me seeing BFN I thought if I was my Hcg would build up enough and my stress levels would go down. Waited for partner to be here for first time since testing to do it together. I was using strips before this off eBay (which were the earliest indication ones!) I'm told work just as good and only ones I could get with the early early test my low hcg thought would help then I ran out! So I went to morrison's hid the tests in the car till he got here! He picked it up first said it was negative handed it too me two lines! He being a bloke assuming the two lines had to match not two lines mean BFP! I found it awkward to say he was wrong as wasn't sure how he was progressing it.

Based on my LMP I'm 5 weeks 6 days ( might be longer as periods have only been lasting 1 day) but line is faint but common with my low hcg from what I remember last pregnancy over 4 years ago .

I know this is really rare occurrence and more likely if you already know you have something like this low hcg takes ages to show in urine and in blood tests some people never test positive their whole pregnancy (extreamly rare but happens). I don't want to give people false hope but sometimes just sometimes this can happen.

Watching this thread with interest..! I'm 7 days late. Tested at 3 days late and BFN. Latest I've been is 2 days. Was waiting until Fri to retest but started spotting tonight, so we'll see what happens tomorrow!!

Holding out for it to be implantation bleeding. . cough...

Can I just say I didn't find out I was pregnant with dd till I was 16 weeks all tests came back negative even the ones at the doctors till they gave me a blood test which came back positive!

now I think I'm pregnant again still early but being sick at night which is odd xx

wow 16 weeks is along time best that must have been hell I've been out of my mind no where near that length of time. Should they not test you via blood asap though if that was on your file before I would insist on it! I'm terrified I'm further than I thought now possible conception could be Valentine's day. Having bloods done Tuesday. I asked midwife as I've been feeling sick on a night this time she said its called morning sickness but any time of the day. When my daughter's sick she's always sick on a night (not pregnancy related but might be food lying on her stomach once she's gone to bed) So perhaps the same for us but worse in pregnancy. But with low hcg you I was told you don't usually get much sickness because it's that hormone that makes it worse. I wasn't barely sick but felt it all the time last time and this time I was a few weeks ago but not sure if it related to this! Roll on dating scan really need to know Sad

I was on the pill so doctors and nurses kept saying no way could I be pregnant until one nurse said we will do a blood test just to be sure that came back positive only good thing is I didn't have to wait to long till I had her finding out so late lol xx

I'm also TTC had two false positives on superdrug tests about a week ago. Since having DS my periods are all over the place - approx 33-48 days . I got a strong positive OPK test yesterday which is strange as I am on CD42 :( I just wish I had regular periods !

Hi, does anyone have any updates? I'm 12 days late, testing but only getting bfn. It's very frustrating, I actually want af to arrive so we can start trying on the next cycle x

I'm on CD 44 had 2 FRER BFNs yesterday, I think it's just another long cycle for me (last was 47 days) if this is the case I am going back to the doctors so they can do some tests for PCOS I think x

I've booked an appointment at dr - wanna have tests for PCOS - I've heard sometimes they can prescribe things to king start ovulation!

My AF is also missing in action, I normally have a regular 28 day cycle but am currently on CD36. Have tested every morning and BFN! But am only 12dpo as I ovulated late so there's still hope I guess... Glad it's not just me!!
