Ok so this is first month of ttc. Af is due around this weekend coming. I started hpt late last week(prob to early I know..but am very eager)! Lol. So i did a test sat, 1pm. It was negative. When i came across it by accident at 8pm there was a faint line. I know it was way past the waiting time and you rant meant to read past the 3/5 min mark but I've read some people saying that it took a while for their positives to appear. Anyone had an experience of this and if so what was the outcome? I'm currently 11dpo and tested everyday since to be negative thanks on advance xx

I could be wrong, but I don't think any sort of test would give you a positive a whole week before AF is due? And I don't think anything you read off a test after seven hours could be considered reliable x

Hi charl, I am as impatient as you do know the feeling so well.
Firstly it is best to test with first morning urine, as the hormone that indicates pregnancy is most concentrated in the first wee of the day. So testing at 1pm is likely to have less concentrated wee and therefore more unlikely to give an accurate result.
It sounds likely that at this stage it may be an evap libe. BUT you're only 11DPO so plenty of chance to still show up positive in the upcoming days.
If you can, wait a few mots dats then test with first morning urine. That's the best way to get an accurate result and big get all that daily disappointment - oh and save money on tests!
Wishing you lots of luck.

Anything read outside of the time isn't reliable.

Until or unless you get a result in the proper time frame, it's not accurate.

My typos are awful! Hope that post still made sense.
