Luckily Lucie is on hand for sperm results spinning*! I'm just obsessed with keeping my dh's morph above 4% as all other parameters have been tip top!

Face still numb 3 hours later, sigh, want to start dinner but I'll be drooling it all over the place! On the other hand tho me and dh dtd! This afternoon! In broad daylight! Unheard of!

lucieloos · 26/03/2015 18:13

Thanks spinning, the whole ivf thing does seem daunting at first and there is a lot to learn but organising it abroad has been super easy and I can definitely recommend it should you ever need to go ahead Smile

roobanya · 26/03/2015 18:15

Thanks to night, melon, dizzy, spinning and tessie for your words of encouragement. It's so good to have somewhere to share these concerns!

Night - totally understand wanting to shout at pregnant people. From my desk at work I can see no less than three bumps within 10 metres and am therefore party to many excitable baby conversations. Obviously delighted for them all but I really want to be able to join in!!!

Southy - congrats on the second interview, you don't normally get one of them unless they really think you could do the job

Commiserations to those joining due to arrival of AF but wishing you a warm welcome to the lucky month of April

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 18:22

I got a positive opk last night at cd13 but negative this afternoon. Should I test again or just leave it and dtd as per my plan? I still have loads of ewcm so was surprised at the neg test. I have also had a strong pain in my right side all day. Has anyone else had this?
Wow vic that's progress indeed.
Hope you get the answers you need quickly spinning

loopylou1984 · 26/03/2015 18:31

Dizzy merry - had you had lots to drink today? Your uti be may have just been too dilute.
Your meant to not drink or pee for 2 hours before testing.

Also - depends what brand you're using, but most say not to do them with fmu as it can give false positives. Xx

loopylou1984 · 26/03/2015 18:32

Sorry - just re read, you said last night not this morning. Ignore the last part!

It's the hunger talking... I'm off to make dinner pronto! Xx

loopylou1984 · 26/03/2015 18:32

Urine, not uti.
I'm going now.

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 18:42

Haha sammy you had me worried about the uti!!! Makes sense as I don't drink much in the evenings whereas I do during the day. I will try again tonight, thanks

DizzyNorthernBird · 26/03/2015 18:59

merry I had similar this week. I'd not dark anything in the two hours before but I'd had lots of water earlier on in the day and my urine was very light when I tested. So I can't say I was surprised when there was barely any line. I might ditch the ic's next cycle tbh.

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 19:19

It's the first time I've had a positive in the 3 cycles that I've been using opks so I've had no idea when I was ovulating or if I was so it'll be interesting to continue for a while but hoping I won't need to

Southy84 · 26/03/2015 19:46

Thank you all for your good luck wishes, had a weird week highs and lows and really appreciate your lovely comments, I'm hoping I get offered the job but have to turn it down because I'm pregnant (wishful thinking)

Hi to those coming over from the March bus and sorry to those who've been got by AF Flowers and roxy hope you're ok, that's more than frustrating about your meds but hopefully everything will be just right for next month.

Good news about the positive OPK tessie Wink

Welcome also to the newbies

tessiegirl · 26/03/2015 22:01

So sorry ladies, I haven't read back since earlier this afternoon but will do tomorrow. I had EWCM this afternoon after positive opk which is great but as late afternoon/evening has been going on I feel really rough Sad and my lower stomach feels so uncomfortable. Sometime pre ov makes you feel yucky though, doesn't it? Maybe my ovaries are getting ready to release an extra big fertile egg?!! Here's hoping! Wink I'm off to bed, will post in the morning. Night night Smile

DizzyMerry · 26/03/2015 22:05

I've been the same tessie strong pains in my right side and discomfort in my stomach area but I should be happy really considering this was my first positive opk test and ovulation symptoms

victoria401 · 26/03/2015 22:08

tessie I also have a hurty uncomfortable stomach pre ov. I get gassy type pains for days and then ov itself sometimes nearly doubles me over! Had to take to my bed last month!

coffeenut · 27/03/2015 06:26

Woohoo victoria! Drooly mouth and all Grin

dizzymerry I can get a positive and negative OPK depending on what time of day I test - did you get a positive when you retested in the evening? If you still have ewcm I think you may still be fertile.

well done southy!!

I'm another one who has ov pains. I know each month which side I'm ovulating on.

I'm feeling ill today, sore throat and nausea. Hopefully not the DC's cold as we have a very busy weekend. I'm POAS tomorrow but I think the illness has got me down and I don't think there is much point - just not feeling it.

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/03/2015 06:57

coffee feeling rough can be a symptom!

So, we did dtd last night but I've got my second high temp this morning! So I think I ov'd on Wednesday & last night will have been too late. I'm pretty sure that'll rule me out for this month. Although I'm sure I'll still be here symptom spotting in a few days time Grin

coffeenut · 27/03/2015 07:35

finger crossed dizzy, you still might be in!

wotsits1 · 27/03/2015 07:36

It ain't over until its over dizzynorthern!

Im gonna say I ov'd on Sunday. After an 'is it? Isn't it?' opk on saturday, and a clearblue Smiley on Sunday, then a neg on Monday.... I reckon I ov'd Sunday. Maybe.

So that would make me 5dpo. Boring. Roll on next Sunday when AF is due then. I'm heading down to London on the Monday so I can commiserate AF with wine with my meals! Grin

DizzyMerry · 27/03/2015 08:31

Coffee I didn't test again but had the ovulation signs so just went with it and dtd and will continue until Sunday. I really hope you get that bfp tomorrow
Dizzy hopefully you'll still be in with a chance
Same thing here with opk test wotsits positive on weds and neg yesterday so I'm just going with weds being day of ovulation on cd13
I have day 21 bloods this cycle, but if I got a positive opk on day 13, should I go for the bloods on day 20?

tessiegirl · 27/03/2015 09:55

Morning everyone! I had a good nights sleep but ov pains still nagging on my right side. Whenever I stand up I get a sharp dragging feeling that sometimes takes my breath away. I shouldn't complain about them really, I'm glad of them in a way! Blush We dtd again this morning so hopeful of good timing but who knows!

Spinning I really hope you get some clearer answers today about DH sperm results, how frustrating to have numbers but they still don't make any sense! You would think the clinic would have explained! Angry

Dizzy annoying about second temp rise but fx you will still be in the running!

Lucie Best of luck with the endo scratch. I so hope everything goes to plan for you Smile

Victoria Hooray for dtd and in the daylight!!! Grin I completely agree that ov pains double me over sometimes too!! What on earth will labour be like?!! Confused

Coffee Good luck with poas!!!!!!! As Dizzy said feeling rough can definitely be a symptom!!!!

tessiegirl · 27/03/2015 10:19

Awwww is it sad that I just had a boiled egg with soldiers for breakfast? I felt about 10 but really fancied it and bloody enjoyed it!!! Yum! Smile

BananaRaces · 27/03/2015 11:04

OK ladies, I have an update and 2 questions!

I went to see the consultant yesterday as my mid-cycle bleeding has returned after I had a polyp removed in December. He said it's too early to do another hysteroscopy yet to check if it has come back and he thinks it's unlikely it has.

He said that what they would normally do would be to put me on the pill to sort it out, but seeing as we're TTC he thinks they should "try to help me fall pregnant" instead!! So I'm having a CD21 blood test at the end of next week and meeting up with the consultant again in June to talk about the results / see if my random bleeding has stopped / talk about doing another hysteroscopy. I'm feeling really positive about this. Smile

So first question - am I right in thinking that the CD21 test is to check whether I am ovulating?

Second question - for the ladies who temp - I started temping this month and seem to have a big spike in BBT this morning (which I think means I OVd yesterday?) but now today I have EWCM.... This has really confused me, because I thought you only get EWCM before OV, not after it!! Confused

tessiegirl · 27/03/2015 11:34

Hi Banana! This all sounds really positive! So pleased things are moving in the right direction for you. I'll leave someone else to answer your question about the CD21 tests as I'm not 100% sure but with regards to your second question, I found this on ff....hope it helps! Smile

Some cervical fluid after ovulation is possible because the corpus luteum, though its main function is to produce progesterone, produces estrogen in small amounts. This may cause you to see some fertile-looking cervical fluid, even after ovulation.

If your temperatures and other signs show clearly that you have already ovulated, then you can be confident that you are no longer fertile. It is also not uncommon to confuse semen and eggwhite or watery cervical fluid. Some women also notice some fertile-looking cervical fluid just before menstruation.

However, if your chart does not show clearly that you have already ovulated (with a clear and sustained thermal shift) do not stop having intercourse. Keep on considering the possibility that you are still fertile as long as you see fertile cervical fluid to make sure you don't miss a chance to conceive.

BananaRaces · 27/03/2015 11:58

Thanks Tessie that's really helpful.

It's definitely not man-juice Blush because it's clear. I think I will just have to see what my temp does over the next few days - if it stays elevated then it was probably my "corpus luteum", which sounds ever so exciting!!

I shall pounce on DH later on though, just to be sure. Grin
