Because my DP is too lazy and only manages a couple of shags during my window! We usually start too soon and by the time I ov he decides he can't be bothered! So this month I came up with the crazy cunning plan of leaving it til the last minute and hopefully dtd around ov and say afterwards! Might be mad but I thought it was worth a try!

cremedecacao · 22/03/2015 23:44

Haha! I completely see what you mean now. We normally manage at least two days before and the day of ov, but the last two months we have missed the day before for similar reasons....

coffeenut · 23/03/2015 03:44

wotsits all that ewcm sounds v positive!!
sparkly thanks for the info on the temp dip. So it sounds normal then? Or within range of normal. My temp skyrocketed right back up super high this morning.
dizzy!!! So close to ov!!!
Welcome over cmonsarah & beansprout
merry I get those symptoms about 3 days before Ov.

coffeenut · 23/03/2015 03:53

and also can I test yet? please? Just kidding.... sigh.

wotsits1 · 23/03/2015 06:51

The only things I have done differently this month is to go completely decaff on tea and coffee, I cut out all carbonated soft drinks and dh bought a nutribullet and makes fresh fruit smoothies every morning. They say vitamin c increases it so maybe that's it!?

I'm convinced we've missed our window this month. The cm started on Thursday but was getting neg opks.

I'd feel happier if we'd dtd on Friday. I think I ovd on either Saturday or Sunday, so a Friday night dtd would've been good (Fridays opk was definitely neg). We did dtd on Sat and Sunday, but aren't you meant to do it the day before? I got a neg opk this morning bit will keep going tonight just in case. ð??¢

loopylou1984 · 23/03/2015 06:53

Wottsits - remember that ov happens approx 24 hours after a pos opk so the day of the opk would be the day before ov! I think your fine Smile

wotsits1 · 23/03/2015 06:55

Sammy does that mean you can get a negative opk on the day you actually ov? As the positive could be the day before?

mummyofonesofar · 23/03/2015 07:09

Hi everyone, dropping in. Have updated the stats for the newcomers - welcome to you! Ff has moved my test date back to 30/3/15 after I manually altered my ov date from last month. I hope you all had lovely weekends.

6dpo here so nearly half way through the tww and I feel no different this month - I hope that is a symptom in itself.

coffeenut · 23/03/2015 07:12

wotsits I have two days of positive opks and then third day was negative, FF says I ov'd on the day of the negative.

coffeenut · 23/03/2015 07:15

I've just realised that the day I plan to test (10dpo) is my DD1's bday! That's got to be lucky right?!

spinningirl10 · 23/03/2015 07:15

Morning Smile

Wotsit, yes that's right, you could have a negative when you ov. I think you timed dtd well.

Dizzy, I hope your cunning plan works. I'm going to try cd 10,11 and 12 as I usually get my
Positive on cd11 which is Friday. Fx we can get our men on board!

loopylou1984 · 23/03/2015 07:24

Wottsits yes that how I understand it.. It depends how long you LH surge lasts, but yes, by the time you ov you could be getting neg opks Smile

wotsits1 · 23/03/2015 07:47

Thanks ladies! I'm gonna assume that Saturdays 'is it? isn't it?' opk was positive then and I possibly ov'd yesterday (or even today?)

It appears that I have inadvertantly done Dizzy's cunning plan!

wotsits1 · 23/03/2015 07:50

Y'all are amazing! You have stopped me stressing for the next 2 weeks!
Now to inhale a TON of Brazil nuts! Wink

MelonMelon · 23/03/2015 08:55

Morning all! Suffering some serious monday-itis today! Start of my 2ww and I'm coming down with something, feeling so rough. Urrrrrgh!

Mumof1sofar · 23/03/2015 09:21

Morning all. Good luck to all those on the 2ww- I know how stressful it is!

I've been looking at opks on Amazon. I don't want to invest in a cbfm just yet but I would like sticks that tell you a couple of days before you are due to ovulate - does anyone know if I can get these & could recommend a brand? Ideally not too ££. Tia Smile

mummyofonesofar · 23/03/2015 09:34

The digital CB ov tests are only £20 in Sainsburys atm and you get 20 sticks.

Mumof1sofar · 23/03/2015 09:36

Thanks mummy. Do you use them every day from about cd8/9 then? And they tell you in advance of ov? (Sorry for all the questions) Smile

MelonMelon · 23/03/2015 09:36

Avoid at all costs! Sorry I'm feeling a bit bitter towards OPKS as I have used my last digital one today and still no smiley face. just more stress I didn't need. Might as well have wee'd on 15 pound coins instead!

Mumof1sofar · 23/03/2015 09:36

Oh no melon, which ones did you use?

MelonMelon · 23/03/2015 09:38

Clear blue digital. The packaging said you can use them in the morning which is what I've been doing but now wondering if I missed the surge. Just dtd every other day is the best way and is what I'll be doing next month Smile

loopylou1984 · 23/03/2015 09:51

Mumofone - I fine the one step opks work well. I've tested them against the clear blue dual hormone one and have always had the ic positive the same day as the solid smiley... Have now given up the clear blues as too expensive! Cx

mummyofonesofar · 23/03/2015 09:57

I tested from cd9 but there is a list in there to work out when to test based on average cycle length. I didn't get any 'high' readings, went straight to peak on cd12 and I ov'd cd14. Found it really easy and great.

Mumof1sofar · 23/03/2015 10:06

Thanks all. How are the one step & CB digital different? Wondering which to go for.

tessiegirl · 23/03/2015 10:15

Morning!!

Wishing all those in the tww the best of luck, fantastic info on what things to eat during cycle!!

Mum I have always used CB Dual Hormone digi opks and they have worked well for me. I also use them alongside internet cheapy opks and both match up. Wotsits that is rubbish that you haven't had a smiley yet - are you using the purple Dual Hormone ones? Sorry if you have already answered this before - its difficult to keep up with who is using what!!

Sorry you are feeling rough Melon, have some Flowers to make you Smile

CD13 here...DH has such a busy week at work so he will be backwards and forwards just when I am due to ovulate this week!!!! He has now planned to come home inbetween sites so I am keeping my fx crossed ov happens when it is supposed to Confused Stressful!!!!!!
