Morning!

wotsits sorry to hear AF arrived. There's a fair few of us now so at least we know we're in it together for April!

Cd3 here and I've carried on temping although haven't been setting my alarm over the weekend so have been taking it as and when I wake up (yesterday 3 hours later than usual). I'm a bit confused because my temps haven't really dropped, so I'm not sure whether this is because of taking them later, or whether there's something wrong with me. Last month ff did pick out ov but my post ov temps weren't an awful lot higher than pre ov. I have no idea what this means! Any ideas? Maybe I need to switch to my summer duvet Confused Smile

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/03/2015 08:56

I would worry too much about age gaps. Dps kids are 3 years apart, which isn't a massive amount but they're so close. DSS is at that age now where he's more interested in 'older boy stuff' like Fifa14 etc but he still has so much time for his little sister. They're so cute together. I think it all comes down to personality types.

DizzyNorthernBird · 08/03/2015 08:57

*wouldn't!

Cariad2014 · 08/03/2015 09:07

Yay for a longer lp MrsG but sorry for the BFN- hopefully it's still too early.

So sorry AF has arrived Trixie - here's hoping April is YOUR month.

Waves at Terrys - thanks for coming back and updating us. Lovely to hear from you.

Thanks for everyone's kind words yesterday, particularly MrsG, Night, Spinning, Purdey and Victoria. Feeling a lot better today, although I'm still petrified that I might never be a Mummy. I found shopping for a Mother's Day card for my own Mum particularly hard yesterday. I was so convinced this time last year that I'd have a baby in my arms come next Sunday.

PurdeyBirdie · 08/03/2015 09:41

Sparkly, lovely poem but I have several issues with it: I don't trust my 'universe' or anything in it; and I love revenge Wink How are you this morning, dolly? Nice high temp? Thanks

Really sorry for the AFs Sad

Off to get ready for church...

victoria401 · 08/03/2015 09:46

Big cwtches cariad x

I like April, I was born in April so its my fave month. By next ov time we will know if dh sperm has improved and what fertility treatment we can have, so all good yea?

The only person I made friends with was Hugh Hefner. If anyone would like to know me let me know?

GlitteryLipgloss1 · 08/03/2015 10:14

victoria401 · 08/03/2015 10:20

If I put my name on here to search you'll never find me coz there are millions of me worldwide! Lol

scrunchiemount · 08/03/2015 10:23

Coming to it a bit late but on the subject of age gaps would just like to say my mum had four of us with four years between each (nearly five years between me and the next sister down from me actually) and we are incredibly close. There is a 12 year age gap between my brother and I and we absolutely adore each other.

Sorry to all who got AF...

Not much to report for me at the mo, still waiting for O...although we have been dtd twice a day for about a week now...bit pointless in terms of ttc but fun!

dojo123 · 08/03/2015 10:40

Morning ladies

Spinning Such a shame your cousins had to see such things from your uncle's ex girlfriend when they are grieving for their father. I hope your Mum manages to eat something today she needs to keep her strength up. Flowers to you all.

Sorry to all the AFs over the past 24hrs Flowers Wine Cake

Purdey Yes I'll be your fb friend. If anyone would like to be mine pm me..

Spent yesterday with my niece/god-daughter who is 18 months and is quite a character and at a really gorgeous age. I love spending what ever time I can with her but really would love a little one of my own.

DH is being great and has started taking co-enzyme Q10 and B6 along with his other vits but I don't think he is the one who needs to worry. I know I need to lose weight and get fitter. By TTC I'm watching what I'm eating and being more aware of my body but I realise I can no longer be selfish and need think that I need to be as healthy as possible to look after/carry another human being for 9 months. I hate to think that we may never be able to have our own because of my weight.

Woolly84 · 08/03/2015 10:42

Morning all! Sorry for those who have had AF rudely arrive Sad
CD5 here so looking forward to dtdathlon soon. Speaking of which, nice work scrunchie Grin

MrsGingerbread · 08/03/2015 10:46

cariad glad you are feeling a bit brighter. I am sure your sticky bfp is just around the corner.

Sorry to all the ladies who have had the witch pay a visit.

purdey / sparkly can we please have a quick chat about syringe sizes?

MrsGingerbread · 08/03/2015 11:01

I yoo am losing weight as we ttc.

I am sticking to 1500 calories a day -checked this my gp and he said a good approach to not panic my ovaries into thinking there is a fafamine. It is slow but steady (a stone off in 8 weeks) but feels very sustainable which was the most important thing to me. :)

Ps. Presents every half stone make a big difference! ;)

rubyrubes13 · 08/03/2015 11:06

Hi all it's been a while my stats rubyrubes13# 31# cycle give up trying to remember af due 25/03
Hope everyone's ok well we are now officially under the care of the doctors I have my blood tests 18/03 I am hoping this will shed some light on why we are not getting a bfp ...

dojo123 · 08/03/2015 11:09

Scrunchie Well done on the TTC malarky. That's going some!

On the age gap convo. My parents had 5 children in 9 years, with 16 months between my sis and my eldest brother and then approx 2 years between each of the rest of us (i'm number 4).

We all get on and if any of us needed anything/help/support from any one of us we would do our best to help each other but I would say there has always been tension between my sis and my eldest brother.

Our relationships have changed over the years. When I was little I was closest to my little brother (2 years between us) but then we grew apart when I went to uni, I would now say our relationship is better and like we were when we were younger (now that he is no longer with is ex of 10 years and now with a friend/ex housemate of mine (they got together after my wedding!!)).

My sis and I have never been that close (7 years between us), we tried when we lived near each other when I was at Uni but I would say we talk more now as we both told each other that we are TTC. I think this has helped us support each other.

I have a good relationship with my eldest brother (5 years between us, I'm god mother to his daughter) and even went on holidays with him just the two of us.

I would like a better relationship with my middle brother (2.5 years between us) and am working on that this year..

dojo123 · 08/03/2015 11:11

MrsGingerbread Well done on the weight loss. That's really good. [apple rather than cake] Grin

Sparkly123 · 08/03/2015 11:14

Spinning what a horrible woman! Such a shame you are all having to deal with this too at this time. I hope your mum manages to eat something to keep her strength up Flowers

Purdita almost insem time??? My temps ain't doing very much.. Rising but not up high.. Mmm Hmm oh and re the poem- I was thinking of changing universe to your god! I hope you get to church ok.. Always makes me feel better Flowers

MrsG syringe sizes I have are totally varied. Clinic gave me 3ml, 5ml and 10ml (which let's face it- is never needed! Ha) are you concerned with size of yours?

Oysterbabe · 08/03/2015 11:20

Re diets, I do 5:2 and I do worry about how starving twice a week might effect things. I don't want to give it up until I have to though, I love it, have lost 2 stone and my weight starts with a 9 for the first time since I've been in my 30s!

MrsGingerbread · 08/03/2015 11:26

spinning oh my goodness. She sounds awful! Your poor cousins really don't need that at such a terrible time. How is your mum coping?

sparkly not in terms of volume. .. but in terms of how 'far up' they reach (sorry tmi!) I imagine further up is better, but maybe not? ?

Sparkly123 · 08/03/2015 11:33

MrsG not sure if I mentioned before to you - fertility clinic gave me catheters to attach to syringe. They are 13cm, they get In deeper obviously but are awkward and sharp! I've used them every time until this month as at my recent app the consultant said they no longer give them out and gave me a bunch of syringe sizes instead.. They also said I didn't even need to insert the syringe inside far.. Maybe only just inside and shoot the bad boys! .. I was confused as I thought deeper insertion would be better.. But they said apparently makes no difference.. So I wouldn't worry. I would recommend preseed though to help them along!

dojo123 · 08/03/2015 11:37

Oysterbabe me and the DH have been doing 5:2 which we both enjoy but our fast days these year have been less fast and more halfarsed!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 08/03/2015 11:48

I am vaguely trying to lose weight, just healthy eating and moving a bit more which I hope shouldn't affect things!

Re age gaps - my brother and his wife had a little boy last August, my SIL also has a daughter who is now 11 so a huge gap. She absolutely adores my nephew, is so good and helpful with him and I can see that he will be her little shadow when he's a bit bigger. It's ever so lovely to see - there are only 3 years between DB and me but we fought constantly and only got along once we no longer lived together!

nightandthelight · 08/03/2015 12:22

I must say riceicle you may possibly have the most gorgeous group of children I have ever seen :)
