DHEA supplements for "ancient eggs" any positive stories

Just wondered if anyone has had a positive outcome after taking DHEA supplements just for old eggies? Thanks

yes yes and yes.
I was told at 37 low amh 0.1 no chance with own egg IVF. Started taking dhea in prep for trying one round of own eggs - i was naturally pregnant withing 3 months (after having obviously been trying for a while) I did mc then, I then got pregnant naturally again 7 months later mc again but then finally conceived and got ds. I don't think i would have got ds without dhea

ps I also took loads of other stuff for egg health zinc, co enzyme did yoga

I'm currently very early pregnant after 6 years. Low amh of 2 and 2 failed IVF's. Have been taking dhea since December in prep for 1 final IVF with own eggs whilst on the donor list. Can't believe it. Am utterly terrified and constantly going to the toilet in case start bleeding. Amazing brilliant stuff. Almost stopped taking it because of the side effects. So pleased I didn't.

Good luck and congratulations foodtech. After such a battle it's understandable to be worried of mc but I hope it goes well. Through my ordeal I just kept on saying today I'm pregnant and even after a mc try and see it as good that I had even got pregnant.

Thanks cake. Every day I wake up and think another day gone and still pregnant. I had a miscarriage 4 years ago so very scared and nervous but further along than I've ever been before so fingers, legs and everything crossed.

Food tech thank you for your reply and fingers crossed for you, I hope you have a very boring pregnancy. Just out of interest what side effect did you get with the DHEA?

A bit more acne but I always had it and my moustache hair was in need of more regular bleaching.

I had some bloating at the beginning and constipation but it settled down within a few weeks. Already had bad skin and stuff so never noticed much of a difference. I started to worry that I was taking crazy Internet drugs that could be doing goodness knows what to me but when I went to my clinic the doctor suggested it so carried on. So pleased I did now.

Foodtech I felt the same crazy Internet drugs DP was against it until a Dr suggested it. It also made me run faster at the gym I think!
