No purdey AI is not an option, oh is horrified at the very thought. No idea why - makes him feel less manly or some such nonsense.
You are completely correct in that we are carrying tonnes of emotional baggage from last time ttc. When it's been a hard slog before its impossible to imagine it being anything else.
I'm considering using background porn in future to keep his momento going

The background porn was something I really, really wanted to implement before we resorted to AI but DH would not hear of it. I do not understand his vehemence as I am 99% sure he views porn on his phone when he masturbates and he has my full approval to do so. He either a) feels that he is being gallant in refusing to 'resort' to porn or b) thinks I am lying through my teeth when I say I quite like the idea of us watching it together and so adopts the gallantry described in (a). There may also be a c): He would be jealous of my ogling the nekkid fellas with humongous schlongs. Here he has a point..

Thanks purds and nomio. I looked into the private and nhs thing and it said that you could have two rounds of private treatment without losing your nhs but if you had 3 or more then you would lose your free nhs goes as they think the chances of it working would be less. I wanted to check this with the gp so I asked her when I went a couple of weeks back and she hadn't heard of that at all. She said they are two separate things and me having private treatment wouldn't affect the nhs treatment. I think she has got that wrong but I'm going to go ahead with the private stuff and then if I did still need nhs next year I will look into it all again and obviously keep my treatment abroad a secret if necessary.

Purds, I am 35 (36 in July) my AMH is 7.28pmol/l. It's low or borderline low on the American scale (1.02ng/l). The gp said she knows lots of people who have come to her with lower amhs than that and have got pregnant naturally.

I have had a bag of quinoa in my cupboard for 6 months, but don't know what to do with it. Do I just use it in place of rice? If so, I might be brave & try it tomorrow.
