Hello, would appreciate some opinions please, as starting to drive myself up the wall

I'm now 11 days post ovulation (have a regular 28 day cycle) and have tested this morning and BFN. Used a supermarket cheapy with sensitivity of 25units. Period due on Thursday

Have had lots of one sided cramping and really thought I could be pregnant

Don't want to get my hopes up but would test be positive by nw if it was going to be? Have read so many conflicting things

Thanks a lot :)

25 would be too high for most 11 dpo. Get a first response (15) ?? for tomo.

chasingtherainbow · 02/03/2015 17:35

Good luck!

Thank you. I'm losing the plot! Think had possible implantation at the weekend and so not sure how long it would take to show up after. Is first response good?

I got a neg at 11 dpo with a 10miu, got a bfp on 13 dpo. Good luck.

chasingtherainbow · 02/03/2015 17:42

FR are pretty reliable. There are some people who don't get any hint of a bfp until after AF was due but most will get at least a faint result by 13dpo so I'd say get some frer in and test over next few days x

Why waste so much money on testing so early? It also brings you so much more heartbreak when a positive turns into a chemical pregnancy..... (Speaks from over 2years of TTC)

greenolive · 02/03/2015 19:45

I know - lots of downsides to testing too early. Think I may just leave it and see if my period arrives.

Some people don't get a positive till late, way after period was due. However statistically, If you were pregnant, it's likely it would show up by 12 dpo on a FRER by then.

Fertility friend did some interesting analysis about early testing though
(I tested at 8dpo a couple of months ago so Defo fall into the impatient category though!)

I'm also 12 DPO ish. Period due today if going by 28 day cycle but was 26 days last 2 months. testing negative and used a first response this morning. I've started acupuncture for PMS and have had 3 weeks of it, had NO PMS this month, no sore boobs and no ovulation pain. Anyone any experience with this? Could the acupuncture have lengthend my cycle or is the lack of crazy PMS lady a pregnancy symptom?!

Stinkersmum · 03/03/2015 05:11

I'm with SweepTheHalls here. I didn't get a BFP until 6 days past AF'S due date. At least wait until AF is due. Absolute waste of money and stress and time to do it any sooner.

greenolive · 03/03/2015 07:27

Hi ammature - I think lack of PMT or PMT that's unusual for you can definitely be a pregnancy sign. I'd say you're not out yet. Good Luck. I'm getting too obsessive - going to wait and see if period shows up and keep busy - hard though!

Ooohh that's exciting! Thanks. Did another test this morning and still Nowt. I was putting the non-PMS down to the acupuncture. Just a waiting game now I guess.
