Hi girls,

Please can someone advice me on this, as it's Sunday and CB customer service is closed today and I'm so upset... I'm using CB dual hormone fertility tests, started on cd8, first day I had a low fertility, but from next day up until today I had flashing smileys, and that's SIX days in a row! What can it be? Something wrong with me or the tests? Why is it happening? Thank you..

Have you checked out the Clearblue FAQ's? It sounds like what you're experiencing can be quite normal. This link says 25% of women on their tests saw 5 - 9 'High Fertility days' (flashing smiley) before 'Peak Fertility' (solid smiley):
uk.clearblue.com/clearblue-ovulation-test-range/clearblue-digital-ovulation-test-with-dual-hormone-indicator

When I was last pg I had 5 'flashing' days before getting a 'solid' smiley, even though I'd thought that was an unusual cycle for me. The other thing is once I get to the day I'm expecting a solid smiley (usually CD12 or CD13 in my case), I test twice a day (at least) as sometimes its flashing (or even negative) first thing in the morning, then get a +ve in the afternoon.

Definitely wouldn't worry too much, but give them a ring tomorrow to put your mind at rest.

Thank you so much ChewyGiraffe,

I was told the same thing in the past- to test second time in the afternoon, but they said the urine must be in the bladder for at least 4 hours before testing (or else won't be as concentrated), however it just seems impossible to me, as I notice I go to wee quite often... Do you think I should try and do it anyway even with couple of hours in between? Thank you

By the way the link is super helpful! Thanks :))

About if you test second time in afternoon - I've heard of the 4 hour thing too, but I can't say I could always wait 4 hours without a wee either! Maybe just leave it as long as you can, and don't have loads and loads to drink in that time (which dilutes things).

Just an update- got my solid smiley this morning!! I couldn't believe it when I saw it! Exact the date that my app says most fertile too... :) :) :)
