TTC query on ovulation/mucus

Hi all,

I am currently trying to conceive and I am a bit confused about when I ovulate! I get the egg white mucus for about 5-7 days and then back to CM after that. My question is at what point do I actually release an egg and have a fertile window? Is it during the time i have the egg white mucus or at the end, or beginning? Help!

Bit of background... I came off the pill in november after 4.5 years (cerezette) and have had regular periods since, 29 day cycles. While on the pill never had periods and before that was on the depo so no periods then or 6 months in between switching contraception!

Sorry for lack of abbreviations... newbie to mumsnet so still trying figure it all out!

It will usually be the last day of ewcm or possibly the day after that.

When your egg white mucus is at its stretchiest - often 5 - 6 cm between thumb and finger
