to test or not to test , that is the question! ....

Hi all

Wondering if you lady's can advise me as i am torn. as of now ( the 26th) i am on cd25. I ovulated around cd14 so I am around 11dpo. I have had symptoms since 5-6dpo but not sure if its wishful thinking.

List of symptoms / reasons I want to test

Increased thirst
Increased urge to pee
Bloatedness
Wind/ burping
Sneezing
Congested/stuffy nose (in morning)
Slightly runny nose ( in day )
Increased hunger.

I have also had instances that were just once like a wave of nausea in bed on CD 19
Sour taste in mouth after eating cd 20 had a diffrent occasion where i also felt sick cd20 on and off all day i had eaten unusally early for myself so i dont feel i should count it as a pregnancy sign. I also seemed to be a bit grumpy/ moody which isn't me at all and emotional .

I fell pregnant last year and had all mentioned symptoms including the wave of nausea thing (although this happened more than once, at least a few occasions ) and added to that a boob ( yes one at a time!) That felt like I'd been lunched as well as the classic mettalic taste. The pregnancy ended in a chemical pregnancy at 5+1 ( the very latest a chemical pregnancy can go).

The things that make me think I should just wait for AF to arrive is:

AF like dull ache pressure/
My cat not acting strange around me like last time
No mettalic taste
Absence of bruised feeling boobs.

I tested on tuesday cd22 and got a bfn. I dont want to test tomorrow and get anotge r bfn. Its my birthday in a few days my baby was due just in time for it I was so looking forward to being a mummy for my birthday that's all I could ever ask for. I don't want to get a bfn and then be ( more) upset for it.

Of course it could be a positive , which would be a dream come true . it just seems too good to be true. Last month I had convinced myself I was pregnant so don't feel I can trust my judgement .I'm also scared to test early and get a positive because of the chemical pregnancy.

Think I should just wait AF out which is due on the 2nd . just hate being in limbo.

That should of read punched in the boob not lunched. The sickness on and off all day was cd22 not 20. And a lol after the thing about the cat so you all dont think im completly cuckoo

Thankyou for taking the time to reply to my (probably) neurotic sounding post.

I cracked this morning and did an ic (internet cheapie) 10mul test with fmu . Bfn. not even a shadow of a line

Last time around i got an extremly faint positive on an ic 10mul test at around 10dpo and after comparing it with ic test i had done the day before i could see a shadow of a line on that. I confirmed it with a digi test.

I feel so so dissapointed, sad and desolute now and will be waking up on my birthday knowing this has not been my month. Thats what i had wanted to avoid . My friend has been urging me to test and said at least i will know.

Now i know id rather have been driven mad wondering for a couple of more days and kept that little bit of hope and have my birthday then deal with with whatever happens (Af on the 2nd ) after that.

There are so many of these threads and people must read them and think just bloody test! So thanks again for your reply. Xx

Well I'm in the same boat and caved today, was planning on waiting until at least 12 DPO to test (which is tomorrow) but I poas this morning and got bfn (11dpo). But I'm still feeling some symptoms, so haven't given up hope entirely.

On a previous pregnancy I tested at 10 DPO and got bfn but got my bfp at 12 DPO. I've been pregnant 3 times with 1 DS, others were chemical and MMC.

So at 10dpo it's definitely not over yet.. Good luck, and let us know how it goes in a day or two..

Didn't want to read and run- sorry about your previous chemical, it must be very hard to approach your birthday.
You're not out yet, maybe try to hold off unlikely I know! for another day or two if you can.

Thank-you so much for your reply . I wanted to say how sorry i am to hear of your losses. I found my loss, despite being at 5 weeks, really heart breaking and i felt as though my grief wasnt justified due to being so early on.

I have good friends and family members who have gone through a mmc and from what i have seen its, in my opinion , the cruellest kind Although all types of mc are a heartwrenching loss.

I am also 11dpo today its dosent take away the dissapoinment but its comforting to know someone else is in the same boat . What are your symptoms if its ok to ask? Xx

Thank-you for your reply and for your kind words. Yes it is very hard approaching my birthday. I do not really enjoy my birthday in general so knowing this should have been a special birthday makes it all the harder.

A part of me is still holding out hope that i tested too soon. Which is only going to compound my dissapointment for my birthday if i retest tommorow / in a few days and get another bfn.

I tested 11dpo this month and got a bfn. AF due Saturday and I'm just going to wait it out now, I think AF is easier than the depressingly stark, white absence of a line. I think I'll only test if AF is late now I've found it that depressing. I've had loads of symptoms but now think they were all in my head and AF is on the way.

I have been lurking (?) on the other early symptom pregnancy thread and havnt wanted to post and raise my hopes. That seems to have not worked .

I tried having a quick look for your first post to remind myself of your symptoms, see if i can help, but cant seem to find it.

I have found the post where you added increased salivation to the list. I seemed to have had that this past week , not sure if the excessive drinking is a link to that or the excessive burping to the drinking ( lots of water)

I still have the unsettled feeling in my stomach i had on cd22 it has been there everyday since then And is really getting me down as to what it is and is tormenting me. I have ibs so it could be my stomach playing up. Wind and bloatedness plays a big part of my life so its very difficult to tell if its not ibs related . The burping is not something i generally suffer. I am thinking the unsettled feeling is a gastro/ stomach issue. i have had gastroentetis ( i think thats how you spell it ) in the past .

The strange thing is that gastro problems leave me with little appitite but despite my stomach feeling unsettled i have still been eating like theres no tommorow its like i feel the need to eat.

I have had twinges/ tingles in my boobs since about cd 22 The past few days i have had a kind of bruised sore feeling boob or twinges this morning there was a burning in my armpit and its become slightly uncomfortable to lay on my front.

Noticed some yellowish creamy cm sorry if tmi but not certain if its more than usual. I also feel like af is coming not cramp wise but that feeling of dampness down below although nothing there when i wipe.
Still 3 days from tommorow to go. Had af like dull ache /pressure for the last 3 days .

How are things with you? keeping my fingers crossed for you af stays away xxxx

Hi ladies.. I've had days of bfn's and am 13 DPO today, so I've accepted the fact I'm out this month.. One more month and then I'm trying clomid.. I'm 41 (just) so have mixed feelings about clomid.. But ready to try anything at this stage. Good luck everyone else still in it for this month...

Abroads im really sorry i was keeping my fingers crossed for you i really really hope next cycle is your cycle. If its ok to ask have you been testing with the same brand if so which ?

I am out AF arrived a day early. im feeling particularly awful this cycle as i have endometriosis. the pill is the only thing that helps with painkillers to get it under control. 5 cycles off of it has taken its toll, wondering how much longer i can stay off of it to ttc
