Hey nightandthelight and PurdeyBirdie! Oh it's a complete mixture of things. I was like this before getting married too! Think I'm just quite an anxious person when it comes to big life-changing things and this will be my first baby. It's the unknown I guess and I'm scared of things going wrong. Silly, I know - you can't live your life like that. I'm so excited too though! But it's almost like I'm protecting myself just in case. It's so wonderful to find this forum though - a place to share how we feel and our experiences!

Sparkly123 · 27/02/2015 18:44

dizzy hold off hold off hold off!! You can do it!!! Wait!! .. That is all! Oh and Cake !!

Juney keep focused lovely not long now!! Sorry it's so confusing, I hear you! Flowers

nightandthelight · 27/02/2015 18:45

Having a baby is life changing so I think I would be worried if I weren't nervous Lula :)

Sparkly123 · 27/02/2015 18:46

yeh I know Dizzy I prob should just AI Tomor but then I would miss a vital day! And I just ain't having it.. So... Surely it will be fine yeh? I only have to lie there unlike you lot who actually have to put effort in! Ha.
Shall we have a vote?! Oh and Glittery ouch. Ouch ouch ouch..Angry

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 19:00

Thank you for being so gracious, Juney. I know I can sound preachy and defeatist but I think the 2ww is the cruellest kind of sophistry. Whole lifetimes are plotted and dreamed of in those two frigging weeks, only to be dashed by the crimson tide of doom

Southy84 · 27/02/2015 19:04

Happy Friday everyone, so pleased it's the weekend- longgg week at work! pretty convinced I'm out this month. Got stomach cramps that won't go and convinced AF is round the corner :( 6dpo but these cramps are way too familiar. Oh well kinda feel like bring on AF so we can start again!

eskimolaura · 27/02/2015 19:04

Why are you all still banging on about TTC? Clearly the only thing we should be discussing is whether IT is white and gold or blue and black?!

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/02/2015 19:06

Thanks for the Cake sparkly!

Yes I'm somewhat envious that you can AI as you please without having factor in whether or not your DH can be arsed....Grin if you feel up to it then go girl!

shinysparklythings · 27/02/2015 19:16

Hi ladies, I've not been on for a few days and not read through yet.

I started spotting yesterday and think af will arrive properly tonight/tomorrow. Which is a day or two early. :(

On the plus side that means I can stay on the March bus as new af/bfp due date will be 31st March.

Feeling a bit down, not helped by the ridiculous amount of work I have to do. On the plus side I'm going to spain in 4 weeks and if I did have bfp then I'd prob have horrible morning sickness ruining my hols!

Hope everyone is doing well. I have my fx for you all x x

mummyofonesofar · 27/02/2015 19:24

sparkly I vote AI tonight. You've turned down antibiotics, you may as well make the most of it.

Welcome newbies. Lula I'm terrified of how it's going to change my life and I've already got one 6 yr old DS.

Eskimo its white and gold clearly!!

I'm only just coming to the end of cycle 1 and I'm bored of it. We used to go at each other constantly when we were first together and since saying we are ttc we have only gone at it when it was timed/I said we had to. It's taken all the fun out.

dojo123 · 27/02/2015 19:25

eskimo most definitely white and gold!!! Don't know how people are seeing black and blue.

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 19:29

Black and blue.

Lulabelle2212 · 27/02/2015 19:29

Thanks for your lovely message Sparkly! Your words are so reassuring & made me smile Smile I hope all our dreams come true really soon!

Nomio230 · 27/02/2015 19:35

Welcome to all you new ladies. This place is amazing, and it is so lovely to be able to talk about all the stupid 'symptoms' we imagine during the tww!

Go for it sparkly. I am glad your extraction wasn't too bad. No football face for you!

purds sorry you are having a crappy day. Any more news on your job yet?How is little miss doing now? Wine

Riceicle1 · 27/02/2015 19:35

eskimo it's white and gold but interestingly my son who is dyslexic sees it as blue and gold!
TGIF it has been the longest ever week at work, not helped by constant symptom spotting! (But they all seem to have disappeared to be replaced by demonic pmt)

juneybean · 27/02/2015 19:37

Thanks nomio, happy shagging tonight!!

Thanks sparkly get AIing!

Sorry you're spotting Shiny couldn't be implantation could it?

Nomio230 · 27/02/2015 19:46

I can see both. It initially looks white and gold, but then as I scroll down, it seems to change to black and blue. Does this mean I have a split personality?! Confused

auroraboringalis · 27/02/2015 19:49

Blue and brown. Hmm

DizzyNorthernBird · 27/02/2015 19:55

White and dark gold?

mummyofonesofar · 27/02/2015 20:11

Here is the picture next to the actual catalogues the dress what bought from. It is black and blue but depending on how your brain interprets the picture depends on how you see it.

March bus. Free gin with every ticket.
Nomio230 · 27/02/2015 20:17

I asked DH & he saw blue/black. Even after I told him some people were seing white/gold, he just could not see it. Interesting how our brains work so differently.

scrunchiemount · 27/02/2015 20:17

No AF yet! Starting to get v annoyed as I'm never late!

Gold and White for sure :)

tessiegirl · 27/02/2015 20:32

Gold and white!!! Smile

Ah, I'm ok thanks Purdey Just plodding along on CD18 today and waiting for ff to confirm ovulation....sigh. How are you doing? Sorry AF turned up...

Awww bless you Sparkly!!!

Good luck Nomio!!

Woolly84 · 27/02/2015 20:40

Evening ladies hope you're all well! Smile
Well I am completely perplexed by the dress colour debate: dh showed me the photo earlier today and I clearly saw it as blue and black, but just looking at it again now and i see it as gold and White! Huh?! Confused
About 12 dpo here and no symptoms really, visiting family this weekend so hoping for some distraction!!

PurdeyBirdie · 27/02/2015 20:50

Lula, I think the very best you can do in preparation for a baby is to g and get it into your head that it will be the strangest/most exhilarating/most draining/most life-changing and weirdest thing ever when you bring your baby home. I wish people had been more honest with me and told me that horrific labours don't end with a 'I am so in love with this little person right now' moment. I wish people had told me it would be okay and normal to feel so unconnected to this tiny stranger in my home. Just for a little while.

Only when those weird and wonderful and frigging awful first few weeks passed did I begin to feel like this little alien's mummy, and that I might - just might - be falling a little bit in love with her.
