Is is our second cycle of TTC for first baby, the first cycle we miscalculated ovulation so am not sure it counts. Got a bfp today on 10 DPO.
Obviously have everything crosses this sticks, but thought I'd share what I did, considering I've learnt so much online.
Pre-conception prep-
- Got BMI down from 26 to 24/25 ish for a year
- Dh and I were both on pregnacare conception, fish oils and vitamin d for a year
This cycle -
- We DTD on CD 8, 10, 12, 13 am, 13 pm, 14 and 15. I got the positive OPK on cd13 and ovulated on cd15. So a lot of DTD.
- Used pre-seed every time we DTD.
- From CD1 to ovulation I took - 1000 mg starflower oil and grapefruit juice to thin mucous, drank raspberry leaf tea to tone uterus, took spatone iron supplements to boost my low ferritin levels. Also took vitamin C and vitamin E as antioxidants. DH took zita west vitamen, zinc 10 mg, vitamins c and e and d and fish oils.
- Gt acupuncture each week of cycle, used wheat bags to keep feet and womb warm, drinks only hot fluids and hot things like ginger tea, soups, chilli, spicy curries etc. especially in the luteal phase.
- Ate for each phase of the cycle - lots of good meats and iron rich stuff in week 1, in week 2 ate plenty of good fats like seeds, nuts, avocado to aid egg development, also ate watermelons, beets and pomegranate to aid egg release. Week 3 ate lots of red and yellow veg to supply betacarotene to corpus luteum so plenty of sweet potatoes, carrots, etc. week 4 - am pregnant and will eat balanced diet as usual.
Symptoms - nothing. Except a very sore right nipple from 5-10 DPO. And debilitating fatigue enough to leave work halfway 9 dpo. And cramping from 9 DPO till now. But that's really it.
