Need advice on temps

This is my first month of measuring temps and I'm confused. I don't yet know how to post charts online, so I thought I'd just put the numbers in and see if anyone can help!

CD3 36.1*
CD4 35.8
CD5 36.0
CD6 36.4*
CD7 36.05
CD8 36.45
CD9 36.4
CD10 36.7*
CD11 36.4
CD12 36.4
CD13 36.4
CD14 36.4
CD15 36.5
CD16 36.4
CD17 36.3*
CD18 36.5
CD19 36.35

  • disturbed night/alcohol

I'm worried that I OV'd early before CD8. Or maybe I may still OV. Any advice would be much appreciated

Last month my cycle was 40 days and ended with an unusual AF (light, pain-free, but quite long lasting at 8 days). I thought it might be anovulatory. I don't know if that would affect this cycle.

Sorry...you've lost me!!

Tutter · 24/10/2006 07:59

it's been a couple of years since i temped but i would say from those temps that you not yet ov'd

ludaloo · 24/10/2006 07:59

sorry again to waste your time...god how comlicated! I didn't know you could even measure temps!
Bump anyway!

I would say that there is a small possibility that you ov'd on CD7, but taking into account your cycle length last time, in which case your AF should be due over the next week.
However, taking into account your cycle length last month I am more tempted to agree with Tutter and say I don't think it has happened yet.

coggy · 24/10/2006 09:12

I don't think you have yet.......
I'm not an expert but I can't see a particular jump and if your cycle can be up to 40 days then it's quite likely not to have happened yet.

Jess - I agree with Coggy (though not been doing this that long myself) you need a shift of at least .3 for it to be OV.

Thanks

I hope I didn't OV early and miss my chance this month. I guess I'll have to just wait and see.

I don't know whether all this charting is helping, maybe it's making me more stressed.

I'm a light sleeper and wake up frequently so maybe it's not that accurate for me. Still I've bought the thermometer now, so I'll have to keep using it!

Just thought I'd update this thread. AF arrived yesterday (CD21) so it looks like I did OV on day 7. Today my temp has dropped down.

CD3 36.1*
CD4 35.8
CD5 36.0
CD6 36.4*
CD7 36.05
CD8 36.45
CD9 36.4
CD10 36.7*
CD11 36.4
CD12 36.4
CD13 36.4
CD14 36.4
CD15 36.5
CD16 36.4
CD17 36.3*
CD18 36.5
CD19 36.35
CD20 36.35
CD21 36.4
CD22 35.95

So is it ok for AF to sart before temp drop?

Anyway, ignoring the disturbed nights, it looks like my pre-OV temps are just under 36 and post-OV are about 36.4. So I'll know better what to look for next month. Also 14 days from OV to AF is right I think.

I don't know what caused OV to be so early this month. Next month we'll have to start BD much more promptly
