I had a bad childhood too. Alcoholic father, scared mother, physical abuse, etc. I have been an AD since I was 17. I am generally ok, but suffer from bouts of depression so severe I just can't see a future. I have been to the blackest of the black places, but with the support of my family and dh have somehow survived.

I agree with the criticism of MH services. They are absolutely useless, and sometimes do more harm than good.

My sis who isn't on here but who is also TTC has just informed me she also OVd yesterday. She is 7 years older than me and has been TTC for 2 years and has gone for tests. She is booked in for IVF in April but it would be weird if we both conceive this month!

For myself, took my temp 1.5 hours later than normal (slept pretty good actually which is a change. I normally wake at 7am but for some reason 8.30 this morning. Anyway, pic attached.

With being so tired (and this stupid cold sore) we didn't DTD last night but had the 2 days prior so really hoping that it was enough anyway. I considered it but just wanted to sleep! Would appreciate some advice on that front actually to ease my worried mind if you wouldn't mind... anyone?

Sorry your AF has messed around with your IVF plans Lucie. Whilst it's different, I know from my own pregnancy loss experiences how it feels to get yourself mentally prepared for something only for the rug to be pulled from under your feet before you've even got out of the stables. It just feels so very unfair.

I think Nomio's idea of trying to find another focus in the meantime (e.g a health kick/ more yoga etc. is a good one). On the plus side (and I know this is little consolation), everywhere's nicer and warmer in April than in March so at least the holiday aspect of your trip should benefit. Nomio, I am having a break from this evil Clomid (this is fourth cycle on it). I can't bear this intense fatigue and it's not fair on the baby that I am this tired. I don't think it's the depression; I think it is my enormously high levels of progesterone caused by the drug. My skin is appalling and the weight gain annoying. I am eating like a pregnant women. I will take a break and then, for the last two cycles, increase the dose to 150mg. Just because that is an exceedingly stupid and reckless thing to do

Thanks girls I feel a little better now. It is hard when you've prepared yourself for something but you're right Cariad it will be nicer there in April and at least if we are successful we won't have a baby due on xmas day like we would if we had gone in March. I do need to find something to take my mind off it a little in the meantime. I did a yoga course before and enjoyed it so maybe I can look into that again or pilates. I'm just so tired of all the waiting!

Superdrug tests purchased and waiting to be used. Might wait til Monday because I did a cheapy test this morning that was BFN as started having what could be pre-AF cramps this afternoon. CD27 today.

DH has a cold so having a very boring weekend having to do everything by myself and keeping away from him in a probably futile attempt to avoid catching it.
