Should I be worried? (?TMI)

I had a single Depo injection June last year; by September when next one was due we'd decided to ttc so didn't have next injection. Nothing in the way of AF or anything by December so spoke to GP who promised he'd investigate if nothing happens by March.

I'd read that northisterone could be used to restart periods after Depo so, as I had some following a holiday last spring, I took them for a week in January. A few days later I had a period (dark/old blood, not so 'wet' as previous periods, a few small clots but not as much as usual pre Depo) lasted 4/5 days. Thought, great things are going to get back to normal now.

2 weeks later (last week) I had another 2-3 days of bleeding. Old blood again but much less - only needed panty liners not proper pads - no cramping or anything I'd expect from a 'normal' period.

Now I don't know when to start counting for cycle dates or whether to expect AF to arrive in the next week or so or not for another 3-4 weeks.

Any advice or suggestions?

I'd hold off a bit longer for a proper period then see GP who will probably tell you off for taking medication for purposes other than prescribed for then investigate.

After I came off depo it took a year for af to return then 6 months to conceive. I'm not sure about you taking the medication and what effect it might have had sorry. I was told that your cycle can be anovulatory for a while once it does return when you've been on hormonal birth control though.

Give it time. I'm sorry if this comes across as blunt but you sound very impatient. I came off Depo in February last year. AF returned in October and I've only just started ovulating again. Depo can stay in your system for up to a year, so there's no point rushing it. I would suggest starting to chart your BBT each day to see if you are ovulating because you won't know when you use OPK's etc. and just DTD every other day to make sure when you do ovulate you have covered your bases.
