Hello.

Hoping to find some advice.
We have a DS already, but since having the contraceptive implant removed in September my periods returned to normal straight away - 27 day cycle but ovulation kits have never shown me to be ovulating.

I'm really confused and upset. I didn't have any periods at all for the four years on the implant, could this have affected my fertility? Although I am regular, the periods only last a day or two. I've read that fertility returns straight away, but also read some negative things.

I know it can take up to a year, but I am worried about no positive ov tests.

Anyone else in this situation?

I have an appointment at the doctors next week to hopefully discuss further.

Thank you.

hello

no constructive advice to give although just wanted to say we are both 27 day cycles, I was on depo for years and it took me 9 months to return to normal cycles. My luteal phase it short too so currently taking b6 to help lengthen it.

I have never had a positive OPK and have the docs next friday to have a chat/mot, so you arent alone with this. Awful isnt it. x

Thanks for getting back to me, I know I was being unrealistic but I honestly thought we would get pregnant straight away!

Did your periods stop completely on dep?

Good luck at the docs, I feel a bit silly going so soon but would rather know sooner rather than later if I'm not ovulating ovulating.

Take care x

Hey. Just been to doctors. She suggested blood tests to check my hormones and a scan to check my ovaries etc. I feel so relieved she listened and offered options.

My scan is in two weeks, fingers crossed it's all ok or gives me answers.

Just putting it out there as some people are told to wait twelve months but when I mentioned this she said it's best to have tests early.

So if anyone else is worried, please ask

X

Hi everyone,

I've just had an internal and scan and they've found a large cyst on my ovary which I need to have checked agsin in six weeks.

Worried!

Has anyone else had a large cyst, any advice?

Could this be making it more difficult to conceive?

Any advice welcome x
