Aaah congratulations North and Greedy. Obviously bittersweet for me, I'm sure you will understand, but I wish you both a fantastic pregnancy xxxx

My surgery went really well yesterday. I felt different straight away and somehow got the major horn and jumped DP lol after 4 months of abstinence!! (With a condom of course so no risk of infection). Felt great to be me again but obviously I'm back to square one again with needing to get rid of the hormones then try and get my cycles back again. If my last losses were anything to go by I will be looking at about 5/6 months till I'm in a position to try again. At 40 I probably only have a few more chances at pregnancy left. That's the heart breaking bit.

chasingtherainbow · 25/02/2015 10:17

seb I'm glad to hear your surgery went well. . I know you feel time isn't on your side but I really think you will get your baby. Life is so cruel but ill be hoping that you are all out of bad luck and have only great things in your future.

Metalhead · 25/02/2015 10:42

Glad to hear everything went well sebs. Hopefully it won't be too long before you can try again, I got my first AF about 4 weeks after the ERPC and then my cycle went back to normal straight away.

Congrats on the recent BFPs, I hope you have successful pregnancies this time round!

sebsmummy1 · 25/02/2015 10:45

Bless you chasing. Hopefully with acupuncture my cycles might regulate quicker. But they were falling at 23 days after MC and I only conceived once a thousand supplements and lots of acupuncture got them around 27/28 days.

Huge unmn hugs sebs Flowers
teenie fx that you just had a weird late ov

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/02/2015 10:57

brickiemum2 · 25/02/2015 10:57

Romeo hopefully this is cd1 for you and you are beyond the wtf cycle and properly ttc again.

TeenieDeenie · 25/02/2015 11:25

Sebs Flowers Glad to hear you surgery went well and you're feeling yourself again. x

Romeo FX this is CD1 Smile

Thanks brickie, Guy I'm not sure when I ov'd as I wasn't using OPKs this month. I did have some ewcm around CD13/14/15 and I had one day of brown spotting along with some quite painful cramps and bloating on CD17. I've never spotted in middle of cycle before but guess after mc anything is possible. CD14 was the last time we DTD as the cramps the following week were quite bad and I didn't feel too great.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/02/2015 11:48

God I feel nauseous and tired today. I know it isn't possible to have symptoms at 4 dpo so I must have picked up a bug. Yawn.

Hi ladies,

My miscarriage that started on 21st December eventually resulted in surgery yesterday. I can't believe it's been going on for over 2 months now :(

Just wondering when you ladies started trying again after surgery (those of you who've had it) and how you monitored your cycles in the month after your surgery?

Good luck to all those waiting for BFP's and congrats to those who've had them. sebs big hugs.

brickiemum2 · 25/02/2015 13:25

Was your mc natural/medical and incomplete epskie?
I had my surgery on Friday the 13th and am still waiting for a bfn. Scan yesterday confirmed no obvious rpoc so I guess I just need to be patient. Although technically I'm not ttc as such as my hcg isn't zero I'm keeping dh practicing by dtd eod GrinWink
There is hope, my dd was conceived 2 weeks after a mc.
If that doesn't happen I guess I'll just have to wait for af and count cycle days from there.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/02/2015 13:29

Oh epskie what a tough time you've had. Do you feel a sense of relief knowing it's finally over? I hope so. Thanks Thanks
We didn't ttc during the month after my surgery because I wanted to feel sure I'd healed and knew I would be angry with myself for not waiting if something went wrong again. I just kept an eye on ewcm and tried not to stress about it. BFN was about a week after surgery, next period was 30 days later.
I would just do a test every week to make sure it negative and then try to relax a bit. You might have a relatively normal cycle or it might be all over the place- there's really no way to know.
Are you panning to ttc again straight away? There no evidence to say you shouldn't, just make sure you get a bfn first.
Glad you're ok and at a point where you can begin healing and moving forward seb

Guy I must have caught the 4dpo bug too!

epskie · 25/02/2015 14:11

Thanks brickie and guy
Yes, I had incomplete natural miscarriage initially, they gave me misoprostol in January then started monitoring my HCG levels which were halving every week until last week when they doubled. They decided to do a D and C and carried it out yesterday.
I have a massive sense of relief that it's finally all over. Two months is a long time to have pain and bleeding (not to mention the sadness and mental strain)
I did a test this morning and got a BFN so I am sorely tempted to start trying again straight away, particularly because of how long it's been going on.
But of course I am nervous and also have no idea where my cycle is at.
Thanks for all of your support throughout this entire thing, I'd be lost without this thread

brickiemum2 · 25/02/2015 14:29

That's such a long time for it to drag on epskie Flowers

Amyyy27 · 25/02/2015 14:54

epskie what a shit time you've been going through, I hope the BFN has helped a bit so that you can finally try again, even if it is bittersweet its a step in the right direction. Flowers

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 25/02/2015 14:54

In your position epskie, I would get some opks and do them daily from now. That way, once you get a positive, you'll know to expect af two weeks later. Try not to have specific expectations though! You might ovulate in a week or it might take a few weeks- there's no telling.

chasingtherainbow · 25/02/2015 15:59

Epskie I'm so glad it's over for you at last. I know it's been a horrible few months for you. I'd grab some opks, listen to your body and be kind to yourself xx

epskie · 25/02/2015 16:24

Thanks everybody, that's what I'll do :-) xx

Romeolovesjuliet · 25/02/2015 16:29

epskie, so glad it is finally all over for you - what an awful time you have had Flowers

mrsdiddlydoo · 25/02/2015 17:57

epski 2 months is a long time. You are a star for dealing with it this well. Be kind to yourself. You must be feeling so relieved.

We started TTC straight away after surgery... Well... after the bleeding subsided.

Gr33dyeggs · 26/02/2015 07:09

epskie I'm glad you can move forward now. Flowers

How is everyone today? I'm waiting around b4 an exam (my first since 2005). So a little nervous.

I'm still finding all the pregnancies announcements at work difficult (4 now). It's hard to be positive about this pregnancy after loss and at such early days.

Amyyy27 · 26/02/2015 08:24

greedy i have a woman at work who is pregnant. She told everyone in the office except from me and for weeks i had to sit and listen to them talk about her pregnancy before she actually told me and then tried to say she had only just started telling people. Bitch lol. Im still trying to keep my cool about it, you can imagine how horrible it is having to listen to it in fact probably a lot of ladies here have had to go through it too! Anyway trying to remain calm! Hoping to get my BFP at the end of next week and that should help! I hope you're ok i can't imagine what it feels like but hopefully this little one stays around for you Flowers

northdownmummy · 26/02/2015 08:44

gr33dy I think we try to protect ourselves by holding back on happy emotions. I'm finding I'm very subdued and won't allow myself to think further than the next mini milestone. I do have sensitive nipples and finding I need to wee more frequently so all good since a but still. ......
