Can you guys help me differentiate PMS from early pregnancy?

I seem to keep on getting confused about my PMS and mistaking it for early signs of pregnancy.
I thought I was pregnant last month (find my previous post) but my period came one day late and was so painful I couldn't walk.
I'm due my period in 2 days and for the past 5 or so I have been feeling quite nauseous after the majority of times I eat, Sometimes I throw up a little in my mouth, but no full on vomiting.
I've also had a headache which lasted all of an evening and most of the following day.
I do smoke, and when having cigarettes I've been feeling really light headed/dizzy and even getting slight ringing in my ears. Also very tired.
My back does ache a bit, but I do have back problems.
My legs are sore and aching too and today is my day off work and I haven't been able to properly get up out of bed or do anything because I'm so tired, combined with lots of mini naps and just resting on the pillow with my eyes closed but not actually sleeping.
The most annoying one though is my boobs. Boob ache and pain has never happened with my PMS before. The closest feeling I can describe it to is when I was a young teenager and my boobs first started growing. Its the same feeling (I think) It seems to be isolated around my whole nipple area, the fat of my breasts doesn't ache, my nipples are very sensitive and feel like they are constantly hard in my bra, every so slightly itchy but more of a constant very mild pain in my general boob area.

Okay ladies!
So what are your opinions on this? I genuinely can't tell. My PMS is never that bad, but last month it was a bit worse than usual hence the pregnancy suspicion.
Were any of you experiencing this during early pregnancy?

my last period was on the 16/17th of January. My periods are quite irregular after charting them ranging from one every 2 weeks, to one every 4 weeks. The past 3 cycles have been 4 weeks apart.
hope that helps in some way.

Unfortunately there's no hard and fast rule for what's PMS and what's a pregnancy symptom. I've had every preg symptom going while having PMS and ironically the month when I was pregnant with DS I had very few symptoms at all so it came as a bit of a shock to get a BFP. When you're trying I think you're also much more conscious of every little twinge etc even if you're trying not to think about it.

I can definitely advise giving up smoking if you're trying to get pregnant - it doesn't help fertility and will be harmful to the baby when you do get pregnant.

The only definite indicator of pregnancy is a positive test so maybe wait a couple of days and do a test if your period hasn't shown up? Good luck!

Early pregnancy and PMS are the same thing. After ovulation, your body increases progesterone in case of pregnancy. Around your period it drops. If you're pregnant, hcg starts to rise but no real symptoms usually until after missed period. Of there are symptoms before missed period, the is no way to differentiate between that and PMS.
You should stop ttc until you've given up smoking
