Evap line? Come feed the crazy...

OK, so after vowing I'd never test early after getting an evap line/poss chem last month, here I am again.

I'm 13 DPO. Zero symptoms. No reason to test except obsessive compulsion.

I have worked my way through a whole pack of 20 of these internet cheapie pee sticks, and have never seen anything on any except for last month, and now this one...

There's a faint smudge of a line. Is this the legendary evap line? Is it something else? Can anyone join me in my crazy..?

OK when I look at those pics on here, I can't see anything either.. but if you zoom in on Ipad, you might.

When I hold the test up to the light, the light shines through where the 'line' is. It's never done this before (apart from last month).

What's going on? Is it just my batch of cruel ICs taunting me?

I can't see anything, but I don't trust those tests.

ICs are the work of the devil. I completely agree with using frer instead. Those tests could go either way. Get yourself to boots asap!

I can't see a line on the picture but that doesn't mean it's not there. Can you bear sticking to the cheaply tests until after you're due? The line should, technically, get darker every day which should be quite satisfying!

I dont trust those at all. when i was trying for DS2 3 years ago i tried for 27 months - every month out of two i would get a faint line like the one you are showing on here, eventually i gave up on them ( especially when i got a positive when i tried to poas on day 3 of my period just to see if it really was these sticks being crap).

Now i may have got pg every two months and it turned out to be a chemical ( the only time in the 27 months that the ic was backed up by a superdrug postive too i came on about three days late so in fairness that probably was a chemical pg) got pg 3 months into my 40th year and tested with a frer ( dpo 11 and clear as a bell) and now have DS2 - would never use one of those ic pg tests again though although i know they work well for some people i got so many false positives i just dont trust them sorry.

I've never had a faint positive on ICs it's either nothing or glaringly obvious, so I don't agree with the blanket don't trust them brigade.

If you're in doubt test again with FMU.

I hate them and don't trust them at all. I only got the faintest of lines on one AFTER I knew my hcg was in the 400's and clearblues where picking them up too..they are rubbish and the opks are rubbish too.

Fwiw I see the teeniest bit of pink on one of those tests. Wait three days and get a frer.

I have a batch of IC tests which seem to be doing well. According to dates I started my fertile period yesterday and the 2nd line began showing yesterday too. It is there again today, darker than yesterday. Hopefully my one remaining tube can do the business and I can start obsessing with the pregnancy sticks rather than ovulation ones Grin

I have the same thing going on right now... I have done 4 of the fuckers, all with faint lines, the ones today are marginally darker than yesterday's. What do you guys think, can all FOUR be evap lines? I did a CB digi with the same wee this morning and got a BFN... But I know they aren't very sensitive though so I am not gonna take it as a definitive answer... Answers in a postcard please to confused.com

If the lines are pink then not an evap. Give it 2 days and get a first response test.

Hmm I think AF may have arrived for me - well I have a tiny bit of spotting.

So I think it was an evap for me. I have now peed on all of my batch of ICs, and won't be buying any more. I have been saving a Superdrug proper test for a special occasion, and I won't use it until I'm either late or having real symptoms.

I think this was just yet another one of my self-inflicted head fucks!

But Frantastic yours sounds much more promising! How many DPO are you?

Well, that's where it gets REALLY confusing... LMP was 29/12/2014 But I had some bleeding on the 2/2/15 for a day and a half... I thought it was AF but I saw my go because I was ill and she said not to assume it was...then it stopped abruptly an hour or two later. So the short answer is who knows. I know I ovulated very late and I DTD on the 25th only. So the possible BFPs kinda tie in with DTD and late ovulation.
