This is month 8 and I am still not pregnant. I just want to sit and cry.

I know I am very fortunate to already have 2 DC but we both want number 3 so badly. Feeling very despondent now :(

It is tough isn't it? We were ttc for 4 years before DD was born. She is 2 now and we are ttc #2 cycle 1.
Could Feb be your lucky month?

beclou94 · 03/02/2015 18:10

we're in our 8th month of TTC too, I know exactly how you're feeling. I have PCOS, and we've just been refused for fertility treatment as I already have one child. I'm so heartbroken and upset at the minute. every month I get my hopes up, and think this is it, then no, AF shows and it's back to square 1 again. it's so hard seeing other pregnant woman too, specially when they talk about how easily it happened for them! :( big hugs to you. xx

Sleepingbunnies · 03/02/2015 18:13

I never thought that we would have any trouble. Both previous DCs longest TTC was cycle 3... I am so so down. Working all the time, we had so much sex last month I was absolutely convinced this month was it. (Sorry TMI). No need to reply, I'm just having a rant, this month seems to have hit me harder than the rest.

beclou that is just awful. I would push for a referral and challenge the view that just because you have one child it doesn't mean you cannot have a desire for another, after all that's what subfertility clinics are for. Who has refused you treatment?

beclou94 · 03/02/2015 18:50

It's the NHS that have refused to give us any treatment :( yeah, I think I will! I don't see why they can't just give us clomid or something to try!? :/ x

Sleepingbunnies · 03/02/2015 19:00

I would defo push for it!

Life is so very unfair at times :(

They should definitely be providing you with treatment and their reasoning for not doing so is questionable, so yes do push for this

shipsinthenight · 03/02/2015 19:33

Feeling your pain OP, we are also trying for DC3 for 7 cycles. DC1 was unexpected, DC2 was conceived on cycle 7 and now we have one more chance before DH goes away to work for 3 months I could cry!
beclou have you looked into soya isaflavones - I have read on one of these boards that they are a natural alternative to clomid and benefit PCOS sufferers. May be worth a try for you. I have regular cycles so don't know if it would make any difference to me or you sleeping

Rainy34 · 03/02/2015 20:37

Feel your pain, this is our first ttc, and its also eight months too, i was niave in thinking that id pregnant the first month we tried, hoping one day soon we all get our bfp, so hard to stay strong and positive,

Sleepingbunnies · 03/02/2015 20:39

Thank you all :) so hard to know that so many of you are in the same boat. When we started trying I mentioned it a few times to the older children (5&3) to make it not a total surprise... But now Iv stopped as it's not happening :(

beclou94 · 03/02/2015 20:57

Ooo, do you know where I could get them from Ship? :)

Porchrules · 03/02/2015 20:57

We've been trying for 6 months now since I came off the pill just after we married in July. I was soo naive too think we'd be announcing good news by Christmas for sure ?? I'm wondering about trying soya isos soon as starting to get very frustrated. I have ridiculously long cycles as well so one calendar month does not equal one cycle for me, which really bites! Anyway. Good luck to all of you and just keep your chins up!

CookieDough9 · 03/02/2015 21:01

beclou you can get soya isoflavones from Holland and Barrett

diamondsparkles · 03/02/2015 21:11

Hiya, feel exactly the same Sad, currently on cycle 8 and absolutely nothing. Can't believe it. Took it really hard last week when af arrived and wondering how I will take it when af arrives again later this month again. Good luck to everyone here and hope those BFPs are just around the corner for us all

Nicobell · 03/02/2015 21:28

Hi Husband and I have been trying for two years for first child with no success. I started clomid three months ago thinking it would be our miracle pill but still nothing. So frustrating and upsetting. More so as my friends are either pregnant right now or have children already. ??

ReallyLoveWine · 03/02/2015 22:58

I feel your pain OP. We have been trying for DC3 for a year now and I think I am ready to give up. Two miscarriages last year but nothing since August, I think it's a sign that I should be grateful for what I have (I know I am so lucky to have two lovely children when so many are trying and struggling to have their first) and move on. Easy to say, but not so easy to do. Good luck to everyone who's trying. It's a bugger of a journey :(

shipsinthenight · 04/02/2015 14:05

beclou I saw tesco mentioned and also from nature's aid brand on amazon. There are a few threads which seem positive.

Sleepingbunnies · 04/02/2015 14:16

really I totally understand what you mean. I just don't feel like our family is complete :(
