Hello ladies, I’m new here! have been going over 100s of your threads the last few months but now I’m stumped as to what’s happening so thought I’d ask you all before I phone the docs!

We are TTC and have been since the end of October(when I came off the pill(mycrogynon?) I had the withdrawal bleed and have had 2 normal AF on 27 day cycle since then. My beginning of January AF started on the 4th and ended on the 8th. But then on the 17th I started getting a lot of brown discharge which turned into what seemed like a period. This lasted acouple of days and ended with the brown discharge again which I don’t actually get when I have a normal AF! So anyway fast forward to Thursday/Friday that has just passed when I was expecting AF, had really bad cramps and actually wore a pad all weekend but nothing ever came! I have taken about 7 preg tests since Thursday and there’s not even a slight line. I was thinking maybe the second bleed I got last month was really AF and I should have started a new cycle from there, but that doesn’t explain the cramps I’ve been having?

Can anyone help or does anyone have any similar stories? XX

Hi there, I had a similar experience in December, I basically had a 17 day cycle, had a very very light bleed for 2-3 days (brown or pink, no heavy red bleed) and thought it might have been IB but it was just AF.

Your hormones are going to be all over the place at the moment, chances are the cramps could be ovulation cramps which are common.

See I was also thinking this, but these pains lasted a few days I'm actually still getting strange twinges/tugging feelings now. On Friday it was flown blown cramps which started to die down the next couple of days. Is this what normally happens with ovulation?

Everyone varies. For me, my ov pains are cramping and bloating. Lasts a few days, and then goes.
