Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Aw love seeing the "preggo's" on the list too!
twink the brown spotting is just your uterus crying tears at having to bid a fond farewell to its menstruation buddy for a year and a half! Nothing more! Smile
Feeling a bit down but will return soon with a smile.
Ah and deffo welcome. Do pop in on the bfing while TTC thread too, if you'd like!

Oh.. and Cycle 19 Sad

Sweets27 · 09/02/2015 12:02

Welcome rainbow, deffo and others!

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Mine was very grumpy thanks to AF. I'm still getting used to the hormonal mood swings, having not had any periods for pretty much 10 years while I was on the pill... Confused

I'm pretty impatient now to get through this first week (CD4 today) and start DTD to see if we can make a little bean this month!

Smile
Sweets27 · 09/02/2015 12:03

Oh and twinkle, huge congrats!!! Smile

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 13:09

Hi chasing sorry to hear about the long haul for you. Fx march is your month! Flowers

nightandthelight · 09/02/2015 13:18

Argh now that I am better and have had my spa day I am so sick of waiting for this cycle to be over. Still two and a half weeks to go!

dojo123 · 09/02/2015 13:52

Welcome deffo and rainbow

CD6, DH and I have started our two weeks of TTC. We are going to try and DTD EOD from now on.
Last month I was more worried/anxious about when to do it, what to be looking out for, I can only put that down as because it was my first month and didn't really know what I was doing. Now from all the advice from the Jan and Feb buses I feel more confident of what we need to do. I just would like the bean to stick this time.

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 13:58

Ooo-oooh dojo cycle buddies! Confused though! Does this mean we should start DTD now too?! Should I start opks too? When can I expect that temp shift? Help ye experienced cycle partnerette!

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 14:00

Ah and guess I should be checking cm too? AF flew the nest last night so I guess I am good to go?

Sweets27 · 09/02/2015 14:15

I think so austral, I'm going to pay a bit more attention to CM this month and see if it's useful.

I'm not planning to start DTD (except for fun!) until around CD10, as ov likely to be around CD14. What CD are you on at the moment? I think we're cycle twins, no? At least, you said your BFP was due 5 March which is same as mine. blondie is same day as us too now - cycle triplets?!

dojo I think you're due about same time as us too - what CD are you? Maybe I should be starting sooner, although AF is only just on her way out.

dojo123 · 09/02/2015 14:19

Hi Austra I am going on the basis of as soon as my AF has finished I should try to DTD, but maybe that is because it is only our second cycle and trying to DTD hasn't become a struggle (I understand that when you have completed numerous cycles sometimes things don't always work out, OH's not finishing etc).

I think the general advise is if you can, DTD as much as possible from approx CD8 to CD20 if you have a common 28 day cycle, if you have a shorter or longer cycle to adapt accordingly.

As DH and I conceived last month but did not have a sticky bean (my cycle is usually 27 days, I had an early MC at 34 days) I am looking back at how many days we DTD to try and replicate it.
We think we were possibly a bit too keen early on (DTD CD7, 8, 9 & 10) so we dropped it down to EOD (CD12 & 14). I was then ill with a nasty cold and tonsillitis so we didn't DTD for the rest of the month.
We think I OVd on CD13 or CD14.

Because of the long cycle last month, all of my apps are showing different days for me OVing. Ovia has me down for 18th (CD15), Clue 17th (CD14) and FF 15th (CD12). Therefore I am planning on DTD this week as well as next to cover all possibilities.
I have also started charting my temp but it's still early days and not entirely sure I've completely got it down (haven't been sleeping great and waking up in the middle of the night so don't know when I do wake up if I've achieved the 3 hours recommended)

Sorry for the long post...

dojo123 · 09/02/2015 14:30

Sweets I had a really short AF this month lasting only 3 days. Last nights DTD was really just for fun but we didn't use any protection and I didn't dash off to the loo immediately after to clean up! (Sorry possibly TMI there Wink

I think checking CM is really important as another tool. I have just bought some Preseed this month to aid things. Usually I struggle without some help from lube but after reading how Lube can actually create an inhabitable environment for sperm, we haven't used it.

I think my BFP/AF is due 3rd March based on my usual cycle of 27 days.

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 14:31

No apologies needed dojo most helpful.
I am a teeny bit worried about starting to DTD and then by some disaster I have a really long follicular phase and we end up as knackered as last time on cycle 0! Grin
But I might suggest DTD eod until Saturday then see what ff says? And maybe start an opk on cd8? What do you say sweets, join dojo in the dtdmarathon? (I am on cd6 btw sweets and went with 5march as a law of averages.)

TakesTwoToTango · 09/02/2015 14:34

Hi all. Good luck to those commencing the dtd-athon for this month! Cd 2 here so a way to go yet here.

Sweets27 · 09/02/2015 14:36

austral that's what we did last month - we DTD on days 7, 8, 9, 11, 13 and 14 and were a bit exhausted by 15 when the non-flashing smiley appeared on the CB opk!

Going to try to start the DTD-athon (I like that term, takestwo!) a little later this month...

dojo123 · 09/02/2015 14:43

My DH really struggled with DTD everyday last month so is much happier dropping it down to EOD. He has agreed to DTD everyday CD14, 15 and 16 if I am OVing around that date. We also find morning DTD sometimes easier than evening, when we're both shattered after long days at work.

I'm not using OPKs but that's only because we're on cycle 2 and don't have any days that we are going to struggle to DTD, oh apart from when we are visiting family this weekend Hmm.
Weirdly, I'm the one trying to persuade DH to DTD while we're away. He thinks we'll be ok if we DTD Saturday morning (CD11) before we leave and then again on Tuesday (CD14) when we get back.

daisyspice · 09/02/2015 15:30

Hi guys I'm cd6 today today and started dtd last night (just a fun one) I've got opk's this month too since ovia changed my fertility window based on my data last month (still dtd bang on) so I'm a tad worried about either missing it or ending up knackered like aus was saying

So bloody naive thought I'd drop my drawers and I'd be preggo first try Hmm

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 15:38

Lots of us on cd6. Some sort of record? Grin
If only daisy we could drop our knickers and be pregnant. Like those three girls in my year in high school! Hah!

chasingtherainbow · 09/02/2015 16:02

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I should say that while I plan to test on the 7th I'm not actually due on till the 9th/10th

Actually maybe I should wait till we are home from his bday travels just in case.

chasingtherainbow · 09/02/2015 16:04

What's your thoughts on dtd in 2ww? We have er... quite. . Um.. vigorous..sex and the last time we caught I had no idea I'd ov'd early and we were still dtd like nuts as I'd been having such long cycles I got my bfp before I even thought I was due to ovulate. I've been worried since that all that rough dtd caused the mc?

australopithecus · 09/02/2015 17:06

chasing unless you've got a paper thin uterine wall already very seriously damaged, or you're into dripping hot wax into your cervix or getting repeated rammed in the abdomen by an elephant's forehead, I think you're okay. The padding is very good down there. Imagine a grain of sand beneath approximately 3264 mattresses, on top of another 8602 mattresses. The mc was nothing you did. The egg and sperm combo was unviable in the long term as embryo, that is all. Very sad, but like I said, you can feel free to fool around! Grin

chasingtherainbow · 09/02/2015 17:14

Hahahaha! I've just snorted out loud.

No definitely no elephants ramming me or hot wax
