Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Shinysparklythings 29, ttc#1, cycle 2, bfp due 1st march.

Thank you!! Here's to BFP's then!

BabyBumpHopeful · 19/02/2015 01:00

So I posted earlier this morning that I was out of my cd digi OPK sticks and ics. Well, it's now 6.54pm and I went looking nearby after work and no Cb digi opk sticks and the only other ones were $24 for a 7 day supply... Bugger that. So told DH we're going to have to dtd every day till Friday when I can be sure I'm not going to OV. Poor him.

Got home about 6.30pm and checked the cupboard and found 2 lonely wondfo ics. So I decided to take one of them now and the other tomorrow... even though I peed before I left work at 5pm.

Attached are the pics REMEMBER THIS IS JUST AN OPK before people get excited :P one at 2 mins in. One at 3 mins (test end time) and the close up is 5mins.

victoria401 · 19/02/2015 07:14

Yup positive!

Just looked at my app and I'm.cd5 already. And still wearing tampons! What's going on here?! Usually stopped day 3. Boo hate February. Lots of people had odd cycles in it.

juneybean · 19/02/2015 09:26

I have a children's beaker ... must remember to clean it thoroughly if it ever goes back downstairs.

I will probably be poas way before official test date

Amyyy27 · 19/02/2015 09:31

Morning!

Shiny I have a lid from a dry shampoo spray haha. It was a make-do until I bought something more reasonable but I have taken to it now... it does the job!

Good luck with the bfp! Any symptoms?

nightandthelight · 19/02/2015 09:47

I have a glass reserved purely for pee Grin tried to update the stats this morning but mumsnet had a breakdown on me and am now visiting family so won't be able to update till Monday. Apologies folks :(

gennibugs · 19/02/2015 09:49

Morning all.

I was using a yogurt pot. I'd washed it out of course. now I've bought some disposable cups from the pound store - I got what feels like a million for a pound and use those now! Grin

shinysparklythings · 19/02/2015 10:08

night the sight has been rubbish all morning. Thank you very much for doing the stats. Hope you have a nice few days.

No symptoms, but seeing as implantation probably hasn't happened yet that's not a surprise. Trying to stay calm but it's not easy! It's all I can think about!!! Confused

I'm liking the collection of pee receptacles! Grin

Morning!! Grin Ooh this bus is getting busy....

CD10 here...woke up at 4.15am for a wee and totally forgot that would mess my temp taking and my fmu for CB opk! Grrrrrrrr!!! Oh well! Haven't been since and still holding on now to do test in a min so hopefully will still be ok.

Sorry to those where AF has arrived and been kicked off Feb bus and welcome to newbies!

Babybump just curious, I take it with your mention of $ and different times when you posted you are not in the UK?!

MaMaPo · 19/02/2015 10:48

Hello all. We're all pootling along ok?

Saw my GP again this morning and got results from all my bloods etc. Everything looks normal, apparently (ultrasound, day 21 and 3 bloods). I get the feeling my GP doesn't really know what she's talking about though - she seemed to be telling me that there isn't a way of remedying a luteal phase defect when my research indicates that a. I might have one and b. it could be fixed! My progesterone level also seems lower than I was expecting plus it was hard to time it properly... basically I'm all over the shop.

The good news is that I have a specialist all lined up. My mother used to work for a ob/gyn who is also a fertility specialist who does IVF and even though she's retired she's happy to call in favours all the time! She spoke to him and he sounded relatively relaxed about our situation but said we could take all our results to him whenever we want (no waiting lists!) and he'll work out what step we need to take next. Plus, he'll give us a good deal, even better. I feel quite confident that I'll know what's what once we chat to him. Just need to wait a few weeks for AMH and husband's SA to come back and we'll go and see him.

I'll read back and see what else is going on... good luck everyone.

TakesTwoToTango · 19/02/2015 11:06

Smiley face here this morning and haven't event started the dtdathon!! Too much other life stuff getting in the way this month. Will try and make more effort!

kissinggiraffe · 19/02/2015 11:20

Morning ladies.......we are getting serious this month and using opks for the first time! I got 50 ics, when do I start peeing on them? And how many times a day? I have no idea..... I'm currently cd6 and af is still here (just) so I assume it's too early start....

I also need to update my stats as I didn't know when to expect bfp....

Kissinggiraffe 35, ttc#4, cycle 5, BFP due 17

Sorry for the long, boring post!

Amyyy27 · 19/02/2015 11:34

Hi kissing we have started with opks this month too. Currently CD17, predicted O CD18 and I started using opks CD11 .. I think I read somewhere start a week before but tbh I'm unsure.. im a poas addict and may have just felt the need!

Another opk question... I'm gunna buy some poas kind opks on my dinner break so I can test at work... has anyone used boots own and would recommend?

tessiegirl · 19/02/2015 11:35

Update...got first 'high' today...all systems go...I hope in a way that ov is still a little way away as DH is writing a book chapter and is in the concentration zone, even when he stops you can tell his brain is elsewhere! Confused

Kissing I start using opks from CD8 and will use two a day to make sure I don't miss surge...

spinningirl10 · 19/02/2015 12:09

As expected af arrived bright and early this morning so I'm boarding the March bus. I'm ok about it, had a little meltdown at the weekend but find its a bit of a relief when af arrives and you can stop with the symptom spotting and 'what ifs'.
Anyway I can't remember my stats so I'll have to read back through the old bus later and find themSmile

juneybean · 19/02/2015 12:10

Oh I know that feeling, I remember being absolutely hormonal about 4 days before period was due because I knew it hadn't worked!

Sorry to see you here though spinnin

kissinggiraffe · 19/02/2015 13:04

Thanks Amy and tessie what time of day do you do it? Am I right in thinking fmu is unsuitable?

Sorry to see you here spinning

Sparkly123 · 19/02/2015 13:19

Babybump def positive! Get dtd!!

victoria must because February is a weird month with a silly amount of calendar days! Mine is weird too.. Cd 3 and hardly anything! Oh and I still have my lovely back pain. Joy!! Hope yours stops soon!

MaMa that is great news re specialist what a brilliant contact to have. What was your day 21 do you remember?? I agree. I don't think Gps have much of a clue about fertility. And re LP defect.. I was at fertility first app the other day left a huge post about it on feb bus.. They boo hoo'd LP defects. No evidence yaaaa yadaa.. So I hear you!!

Well ladies, I use an actual urine sample container from hospital as they gave me them along with all my AI stuff. I must say your array of containers are all much more exciting!!

Kissing I start cd 8 too. That tends to be general advice from doctors. I only use once a day but most people do two.

tessie good luck dtd!! Go go go!

spinning sorry about AF girl. I'm here with ya! And I love March.. It's a good month to conceive id say ! Wink meltdown after meltdown for me too but I'm feeling more relaxed now.. Weird isn't it. This week is the most relaxed out of the month.. No proper TTC dtd, no TWW.. Just normality! Hope you are ok lovely Flowers

Amyyy27 · 19/02/2015 13:26

Kissing I was doing mine around 5.30-6pm. But from today I will be doing one lunch time and evening. So I've just down one but the bloody thing was negative :( damn!

Sweets27 · 19/02/2015 13:33

Hello spinning and other newbies - welcome!

Kissing I have a 28 day cycle and have been ovulating around CD14 the last couple of months, so have tested from day 10 onwards. I'm using CB dual hormone OPKs rather than ICs, though, so I'm a lot more stingy with them since they're so expensive.

I'm a bit Sad today, messed you yesterday's OPK after two days of flashing smileys, tested today and non-flashing smiley - so peak ovulation. Had a big fat row with DH last night so no DTD, and I'm not sure we'll manage tonight as we're out. I'm going to have to employ all of my very best feminine wiles to persuade him to DTD in the wee hours! I really hope we don't miss ov completely this month... Sad

Sweets27 · 19/02/2015 13:34

Oh and kissing I do OPKs with FMU, I'm sure that's what it says on the CB instructions. Seems to work fine for me, which makes sense as it'll be the highest concentration of hormones in your pee, because you've not been eating or drinking overnight.

Amyyy27 · 19/02/2015 13:36

Oh Sweets good luck for tonight hope you catch it!

BabyBumpHopeful · 19/02/2015 13:42

spinning you were cycle 21 on the Feb bus :) they move so quick the stats get lost easily so I'll post them again later tonight
