March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!

shinysparklythings · 28/01/2015 07:26

Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Shinysparklythings 29, ttc#1, cycle 2, bfp due 1st march.

Oh genni I'm so sorry to hear. I can't imagine what you're going through. Please look after yourself and your partner. What a difficult time.

Oh Genni, l'm so so sorry to hear your news Flowers I hope you and your DH are coping as well as can be expected. Like Cariad said you will get your sticky BFP, we all will xx

Rainy34 · 14/02/2015 08:31

Sorry Genni to hear that, hoping you get a sticky this month! X

lucieloos · 14/02/2015 09:16

Oh Genni I'm so sorry to hear your news. I popped over to the ante natal thread to see how you were getting on. You can get pregnant though and it will happen for you.

I am due to start my ivf next month. We have decided to go abroad due to costs. I'm sad it's come to this but we do need to move forward with something I think.

Big hugs to you. X

loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 09:33

Lucie - are you in the uk?
We're just beginning our infertility journey really but was curious to know why you're not using the nhs? Is it the waiting times? X

ozmund · 14/02/2015 10:14

Morning everybody.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss genni

CD10 here, had some ewcm last night and eager to dtd this morning, only to wake up to sound of cat doing diarrhea next to my side of the bed Confused

First time using cb digi ov test - got an open circle but still dtd anyway just in case. (well it is V day)

lucieloos · 14/02/2015 10:18

Hi Sammy, yes I am in the UK but the waiting time in my area is around 14 months!! I'm 36 this year so there's no way I'm hanging around waiting for the nhs. I have been to my gp and got on the waiting list though just incase something goes drastically wrong and we have still not had any luck but the end of next year. She didn't really inspire me with much confidence mind and I know a couple of people who haven't had great experiences on nhs.

We are off to Czech Republic for ours! They have better success rates at a fraction of the price! We are paying approx £2500 for ivf with icsi, all meds, flights and accommodation whereas it would have cost us £5k in the UK! We are treating it as a little holiday as well.

Cariad2014 · 14/02/2015 10:22

All the best with the IVF Lucie - we will be rooting for you my lovely.

loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 10:55

And that Ozmund is why my cat gets shut downstairs at night! Lol. Glad you still managed to dtd!

Thank you Lucie - Czech seems to be very popular!
We don't know what our wait times are yet (or even what treatment we'll be advised) but think if it comes to going privately then I'll suggest going abroad. We were looking at about £5000 for IVF with ICSI at our local clinic when I had a quick google. How does it work in terms of drug protocols etc... Do they send them to you? X

Happy Valentines Day all! Grin

CD5 here...boring.
Dh made me valentines day breakfast this morning which was lovely although I am in a bit of a mood. In the nicest possible way last night DH told me he thinks we both need to lose a bit of weight and his comments have just put a damper on valentines for me a bit. Don't get me wrong, I know myself I need to lose a few pounds as my clothes have been tight last few months but having it pointed out just makes me feel ugh and unattractive. We are supposed to be going out tonight for a romantic meal but I really don't want to even go!! Sad Sorry, just feeling sorry for myself...

auroraboringalis · 14/02/2015 12:17

Really don't deserve gin terrace privileges anymore after doing a pt this morning for no fecking reason other than "I feel funny". My punishment is embarrassment.

So all change name change. Here am I. Anew.

waits for someone to guess

loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 12:20

Oh Tessie - I'm sure he didn't mean to make you feel like that. Horrible feeling though I bet.
Go out and enjoy your time together tonight, cd 5 means you can have some bubbles with dinner perhaps? Xx

chasingtherainbow · 14/02/2015 12:35

Oh Tessie it sounds like he was thinking of your health together. It still hurts to hear though. DH sat me down a few months back and kind of did an intervention! I was mortified. Basically when we met I was HEFTY. I dropped a shit load of weight and was very happy. 4 years of birthing and raising a small person and I'm back to my heaviest. He sat me down and basically said he loves me no matter what- but I am unhappy and it's affecting the family etc. (it's true. My weight really depresses me) and for my own happiness he wants me to think about whether I want to do anything about it seriously he was referring to the I'm on a diet but then eating takeaway 24 hrs later thing I'd been doing for years

It hurt like hell to have to the obvious pointed out and i felt unattractive too.

But then i think that really takes balls- no matter how close you are to that person. And the fact your dp said both you I think shows that he's really thinking about you both as a couple.

X

lucieloos · 14/02/2015 12:46

Sammy, when you initially make contact with the clinic via email they will assign an English speaking coordinator to you and she will be your go between and answer any questions you might have. She will also ask you to complete a questionnaire with all your medical history and will ask for certain test results.you normally need to get blood tests for fsh,lh,estradiol, prolactin, thyroid, amh and possibly one or two other things depending what clinic you opt for. My gp has been able to do most of mine for me. The doctor will then decide the protocol based on the info you have provided and will email you across a prescription for it and give you instructions on what you need to do. Some people go over for one night for a consultation but I'm hoping not to do that.

You have to have one or two scans in this country around day7 and 10 which can be organised with your local fertility clinic for about £100 each. Then you go out to Czech around day 10 or 11 for around 8 days. Let me know if you want any more info Smile

lucieloos · 14/02/2015 12:47

Thanks cariad, means a lot Smile

Cariad2014 · 14/02/2015 12:53

Aurora - you can't announce your BFP and change your name at the same time so that we can't congratulate you properly. Reveal yourself lady!

Cariad2014 · 14/02/2015 12:55

Oh and Aurora - I'm personally holding the doors and refusing to let you off until you've shared your stats with us!

spinningirl10 · 14/02/2015 14:34

Popping on here to Congratulate aurora......hmmm who could you be?! Please tellGrin

spinningirl10 · 14/02/2015 14:37

Genni, I'm so sorry to see you here but pleased that you jumped back on board. Your time will come really soon, I'm sure of it. Are you starting with the assisted route soon or has that been put back now?

Boosk · 14/02/2015 14:41

Hi everyone, I'm bus straddling, you know how difficult it is to get off the previous bus even when af has booted you off so hard. Haven't checked my stats yet but I'm CD2.

So sorry for your loss genni, fx it happens for you again quickly. Thanks

loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 16:14

Lucie - thank you so much Smile
If you don't mind I will remember your name and contact you if we decide to go down that route?... I'm the kind of person who likes to have all the information possible. Xx
