March bus for those of us who drive right on through feb without stopping!

shinysparklythings · 28/01/2015 07:26

Hope nobody minds, Thought I'd start a march bus especially for those people like me who skip feb out due to it being 28 days and having a 32 day cycle, or those already kicked off the feb bus. But all are welcome expecting bfps in March!

Found the jan bus was a great place to be to discuss the madness that is ttc!

So welcome aboard! Grin

Shinysparklythings 29, ttc#1, cycle 2, bfp due 1st march.

On this bus it is always socially acceptable! Sorry to hear that you are having a bad day Sweets, lots of Wine and Cake and Flowers for you!

juneybean · 10/02/2015 09:47

Hope your day gets better Sweets

Hairstylisttoboris · 10/02/2015 09:47

sweets so sorry. My job is crap too. I'll join you up there for a gin or three. Is there anything we can do to help you?

Sweets27 · 10/02/2015 10:22

Thanks girls, you are lovely. Nothing you can do - I just need to shout at a few of my clients have a nice cup of tea and start my day over again!

chasingtherainbow · 10/02/2015 11:09

I am exhausted. This AF is slaying me!

GinGinGinGinGinGin

Sorry your having rubbish day at work! Yesterday was like that for me. I ate a huge bar of chocolate and the world felt right again :-D

Hairstylisttoboris · 10/02/2015 11:13

chasing sorry af is still with you. Mine was so short this month, only 3 days of bleeding. Anyhow my months supply of pissy sticks has arrived and I have purchased more vitamins so March can now roll on towards me! Ready or not here I come!

australopithecus · 10/02/2015 11:14

Is it socially acceptable to nip up to the gin terrace??

Do I hate watching marathon running? But of course yes! I've been here since 8am! Not drinking gin yet, mind you. I don't have that kinda balls. Enjoying the icy view with tea, early pancake day pancakes, and the ability to shout rude words at the commuters below. I do still have gin-nish swizzle stick poking out the corner of my mouth because it is raspberry infused which counts as fruit and thus is perfectly acceptable for brunch

chasingtherainbow · 10/02/2015 11:17

It's only cd2, but since my eptopic they are mega painful. I've been taking pregnecare. . Anyone else feel slightly gagging over the taste as you swallow them?

nightandthelight · 10/02/2015 11:19

I was the same chasing so switched to the Boots ones and they are much better :)

chasingtherainbow · 10/02/2015 11:25

Oh really? .. I'll check them out as I'll run out in a week and will need to replace.

I've been making dh take "wellmans" conception too. He hates them!

nightandthelight · 10/02/2015 11:29

Yes smaller and don't smell as bad! I want to put DH on something but they are so expensive!

Hairstylisttoboris · 10/02/2015 11:36

I take pegna are at night after dinner with a wee shot of red wine, masks the flavour quite well I find

Sweets27 · 10/02/2015 12:02

Yes chasing, pregnacare is revolting. I've started taking a combo of vitamins instead, now, mainly because I'm epileptic and on 5mg folic acid (instead of the usual 400mcg), which means I don't need any extra frmo a multivitamin. So I take:

  • 5mg folic acid
  • a Vitabiotics vit C + zinc + selenium pill
  • a Boots vit D 10mcg pill

It works for me!

Right chasing, chocolate it is. Gin later in the afternoon perhaps Smile

Rainy34 · 10/02/2015 12:53

I find myself gagging on the pregnacare tablets and my vitamin b complex tablets they are the size of horse tablets , takes me five minutes to get them over

Riceicle1 · 10/02/2015 13:01

I've got dh on tescos own conception support, and I'm only on folic acid (pregnacare made me pukey!)
Cycle day 4 here and I've got a DTd plan which starts on valentines and includes 10 non stop days of dancing! (I shall be partaking of the gin on the top terrace to get me through!! ) Wink

dojo123 · 10/02/2015 13:15

At the moment I'm just taking H&B folic acid and vit D but have just bought Seven seas pregnancy vitamins now worries that they are going to be huge and disgusting!

Has anyone else read the BBC news report on alcohol while TTC and during pregnancy? I'm loving our buses gin bar but I'm glad it's fictitious! quickly necking the dregs from the glass

nightandthelight · 10/02/2015 13:16

Didn't know Tesco did them rice, will see if I can get some :)

juneybean · 10/02/2015 13:23

dojo the seven seas ones weren't terribly big (although it was the pre-conception ones I had) but the pregnacare ones taste something rotten!

dojo123 · 10/02/2015 13:37

juney thanks. Have just been thinking that I should be taking more vits hence the change. Hoping these tablets will turn up soon so I can start taking them.

TrixieRay · 10/02/2015 13:40

Boo to the BFN Cariad, I really hope it is just too early. I'm pretty sure Genni got a BFN later than 12dpo last month and went on to get a BFP - fx.

Sammy, DH and I had some tests done privately, semen analysis, scan and hycosy all came back ok and had bloods at the GP which were fine. We were away during ov time last cycle, loads of relaxation and DTD and still nothing!

Dojo I read that. Loads of people seem to conceive without giving up but I've been thinking about becoming a booze free zone for a bit - apart from fictitious drinking on here of course.

australopithecus · 10/02/2015 13:40

Yes dojo I read it. I tend to stay away from engaging in the alcohol-type debates which understandably target the health of the civil group as a whole rather than the individual because I am a "chill out and be sensible but don't freak out because you'd like a sip of wine or a plate of sushi or a yellow fever vaccination" kinda gal. Smile

Hairstylisttoboris · 10/02/2015 14:09

My current Oman for drinking is to have as much as I want during menstruation but then cut back all other times. I'm planning to cut out alcohol entirely for lent anyhow - see if that helps. There's no science behind my thinking only that I like a drink but think I should be more careful about it than I was as I used to drink like a fish which can't have been good

Hairstylisttoboris · 10/02/2015 14:10

Oman? Plan. Damn autocorrect

Sweets27 · 10/02/2015 14:22

hair, that's my plan too. few glasses during AF and maybe a couple of days after, but try to avoid it after that - and definitely none during the TWW.

TrixieRay · 10/02/2015 14:24

Giving up booze for lent is a great plan Boris. I will join you.
I love a glass bottle of wine, I've cut down a fair bit since trying to conceive but could definitely try harder.
