Are you trying to get pregnant this month? Are you sick to the back teeth of sex? Would you give your right arm for a BFP? Are you spotting symptoms like an anoraked geek spots birds? Then this is the bus for you...FEBRUARY CONCEPTIONS AHOY! Grin

Pops, those of you who've had a short bleed earlier than expected, I came across this chart, labelled a 'stress cycle'. You can read about it here:www.fertilityet.org.uk/fcg-page9.html

purdey, I also had a bag of Quavers if that changes anything?!

lilly that's fascinating. I always just assumed I would 'just know' if I was pg but I dont feel Like I am at all. I certainly haven't had anything like you're describing.

I also crave pasties.....AF symptom?!

missmummy sorry for bfn but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you as its so early!

marmite Saturday will be here before you know it!

Lillygolightly · 29/01/2015 18:20

ibeka · 29/01/2015 18:24

Believe it or not, they were home made by our school canteen!!

Lillygolightly · 29/01/2015 18:26

Dizzy First time with DD1 I had no idea, the only reason I found out when I did was pure chance really. Back in the day I was a naughty smoker and suddenly went off cigs, and that morning when I had woken I had felt sick and the cornflakes nearly made a repeat appearance. Later that day while grabbing lunch from boots on my lunch hour I just so happened to walk past the preg tests and had a bit of a light bulb moment so I took one to the till. At 5pm finishing work I POAS and it said pregnant, much to my utter shock!! If it hadn't been for that I doubt I would have known for ages because I had no other symptoms after that and back then my periods used to be all over the place and I have a long cycle as it is! Second time round I have almost every symptom in the book, funny how each time is so different!

mummyofonesofar · 29/01/2015 18:34

For lunch I had fruit and a honey sandwich and for dinner i had yesterday's left over cheesy pasta but OH knicked all the chicken so I put a poached egg on top for protein. Blush I think I know where on the bus I sit!!

Sparkly123 · 29/01/2015 18:48

Heirtotheiron woo team quinoa! Take that Purdey pants !

Knitfast that's dedication for you! Your poor dh! Good man! Good luck with dtd! Re preseed- I used pressed for three months and liked it on the third month of using I got a BFP.. I'm now using conceive plus as I ran out of preseed but I have to say I much prefer preseed consistency and find the concieve plus drys very quickly. I have the individual applicators pack. Will see if it works wonders this month!! I do prefer the preseed I just can't find it anywhere other than amazon where as I can buy conceive plus in my local tesco.

Nomio here's some Cake while you wait! Won't be long now!

Welcome lilly here's hoping your journey is a short one this time too.. You are still a young thing eh Purdey?! Grin

TheSortingCat · 29/01/2015 18:49

Thanks for linking to the info about stress cycles ibeka - I wonder if that is what happened? The only thing I can think of to cause it would be extreme anxiety about ttc again after my mmc. I was pretty emotional at the start of my last cycle so it could be that I suppose.

It might be the same for you UltimateDuck?

PurdeyBirdie · 29/01/2015 18:52

Miss, temperatures peak for most women at around 8dpo - and if conception has occurred the temps will remain elevated. For someone like yourself who has 11 day luteal phase, if the temps begin a downward trajectory after 8dpo, then I would prepare myself for AF. My luteal phase is currently 14 days long, and if my temps begin to drop at 10dpo I know I'm doomed. Coupled with spotting I think you should expect AF tomorrow or Saturday. Are you spotting today, too? The charts that you looked at - the ones like yours - did they have spotting too?

I had toast made with brown seedy bread & an apple, but in my imagination I was eating a bag of chips, followed by Dairy milk. I hate dieting!

Missmrs I thought I was an early tester, but when I saw your 1 dpo post, I was shocked! At 10 days, I would definitely be poas.

Sparkly123 · 29/01/2015 18:55

I missed all the chat I'm just catching up each page! Purdey you beat me to it.. I knew you were going to say that to Lilly! Oh yeh I forgot where you were on cycle.. Bugger! Oh well.. Either way- a good day for youGrin

Austral dying at that image of the upper deck!! Brilliant! And how fascinating that your Gynae said that re sperm! There ya go Purdey it's the one!! Wink

Missmrs I was slightly concerned about the 1dpo.. Thought you had lost the plot.. Grin up to you but I would hold off if you can...!!!

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 18:57

Thank you purds yes I will prepare myself for AF... Got cramps now Sad oh well I can have a drink art he weekend!

Right, looks like I'm joining you all so what's this top/bottom deck stuff all about?

And quinoa?! Should I be eating it to get pg?

DH has asked specifically for tips for things he can do to increase chances of bfp. What do you all suggest?

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 18:58

*at the weekend

MissMrsMummy · 29/01/2015 19:00

Glad I provided everyone with lolz about my 1dpo testing!!!

PurdeyBirdie · 29/01/2015 19:01

Thanks for the encouragement, Ibeka, very kind of you. Is that a state school making gourmet crap food?

I always found Quavers tasted - and smelled - like an unwashed knob.

Dizzy before my BFP I felt nothing different.. I had every same symptom under the sun that I get with AF and had a meltdown as I just "knew" AF was coming.. Three days later there was no AF and a BFP. So you really just don't know! Keep positive! Grin

ibeka I'm pulling you up to the quinoa, sweet potato, pomegranate munching section of the bus ;) Dizzy sorry but kale three times a week .. You are up here too!!

PurdeyBirdie · 29/01/2015 19:05

Indeed, purdey. London comp no less....

Nomio230 · 29/01/2015 19:13

sweets, I don't want to worry you, but please, please look into how your medication could affect a baby.

My cousin suffers from epilepsy & a couple of years ago told her Dr she wanted to get pregnant. He told her that it was perfectly safe to get pregnant on her medication, but it wasn't.

The baby ended up with a lot of problems, including Spina Bifida and they were told that it was all down to her medication. They were advised to terminate, as he wouldn't survive to nine months anyway. She had to go through the horror of labour after five months pregnant, and then bury their little boy.

This time round she refused to take drugs & now they have a beautiful, healthy little boy.

I know I am coming across as a bit doom and gloomy, and am really not trying to scare you, but just trying to get across how devastating it can be. My cousin and her husband are now trying to raise awareness among pregnant women as to how epilepsy medication can affect babies, so thought I would do my bit.

On a lighter not, here you go Sparkly Flowers . Just because you are always so encouraging and cheerful. Smile

Marmite27 · 29/01/2015 19:19

I caved . Did this at 5pm.

Marmite27 · 29/01/2015 19:20
