Winter, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. How absolutely heartbreaking and never apologise for talking about her here Thanks

Sparkly123 · 27/01/2015 11:39

Purdey yep, keep that plug in!! Grin

Allstopped fantastic news! Massive congrats to you

Teenie so sorry to hear of your mmc and wishing you lots of luck on this February bus! Flowers

Winterbaby so sorry Flowers and I echo what everyone else has said.. Talk about your daughter anytime, we are all here to listen and support you. Sending positive thoughts to you and I really hope the journey to your BFP is short Flowers

victoria for you Flowers ... Are you trying to improve the sperm quality at the moment too? Hope the uti buggers off soon ... Could it be that that's causing the pain maybe rather than OV?

WinterBabyof89 · 27/01/2015 11:48

victoria sending you all the positivity you need to get through this cycle.. UTIs are nasty things!
Hope that sparkly's suggestion might be right? Are you using opks?

Thanks ladies for the kind words.. You're a lovely bunch..xx

mummyofonesofar · 27/01/2015 11:52

Allstopped Wow, big congratulations! I hope it's a good sign for the rest of the Feb ladies!

Winterbaby Sorry to hear about your daughter, just echoing everyone else here and feel free to speak about her and share as much or as little as you need to. I think it is really brave that you are trying again. We are here to support you if you need it Xx

On another note - It is cd32 and I finally have spotting!! Fx for full flow by tonight Grin TMi - I know!!

WinterBabyof89 · 27/01/2015 11:54

sparkly are you trying to improve sperm quality? If so, what things do you recommend to improve quality of swimmers..

My DH has given me 2 DC but his sperm quality may not be as good as it once was (long story).. He's on maca root capsules.

I'm currently negotiating the temp of DH's showers.. Baths for him are now frowned upon ha..will be doing an informal spot check tonight I think haha!

WinterBabyof89 · 27/01/2015 11:57

Thanks mummy..
Yay for full flow arriving soon.. The next cycle may be your bfp! Fx.. Xx

browneyedgirl86 · 27/01/2015 12:04

I just want to echo what others have already said winterbaby. I'm so sorry you have had to experience the loss of your DD. Please don't feel you can't talk about her.Flowers

Sparkly123 · 27/01/2015 12:08

Winter no no, victoria had mentioned before that she may try to and I wondered if she had gone ahead. Don't get Purdey started on Maca root!.. I hear it's great, so good luck with that! Grin maybe I should start these informal spot checks you speak of.. It hadn't occurred to me re shower temp!!!!

lovedoge · 27/01/2015 12:13

Hello everyone - I've name changed to come onto this part of mumsnet, as I've not really been around here much.

We are going to be trying for our first starting from this month, but we seem to be already making a pig's ear out of it!

This month my partner is away during my best dates, and then next month I am away on my best dates! We won't even be in the same country!

Feeling a bit pissed off. They are both things which have been planned for a long time so we can't reschedule either.

Sulk.

dojo123 · 27/01/2015 12:14

babybump can you amend my age please to 32. Thanks

Sorry I missed out on the crazy conversations last night, my phone battery died and the DH nabbed the laptop Angry

One more day until AF is due and still no real symptoms to note. Legs were a hey last night, a little like growing pains but I put that down to being back at work for my first day in a week after illness. Back was aching a little too but... I dunno.

In response to last night top of conversations...

  • Really like quinoa
  • Had courgette and carrot ribbons/tagliatelle last night for dinner
  • Know all the fruits and veg mentioned, one because I eat a lot of them (currently growing kale in our greenhouse) and two because I used to work on a checkout at a supermarket when I was a teenager and we got tested periodically!
  • have yet to try the new cadburys creme egg but did know it had changed.
  • have not seen game of thrones but love a good wife, white collar, and other netflix box sets.
  • I have been taking vitamin D and folic acid since Christmas. DH is on a multi vitamin but I'm not taking any other vits or supplements.
  • when DTD I did elevate my bum afterward and left it a good 20min or if I could, sleep in that position all night.

Anyway back to the waiting game...

mummyofonesofar · 27/01/2015 12:16

In the last year I have cut down his alcohol to next to none - he drank far too much when I met him. He takes cool showers anyway and hates baths and he has been on a generic multivitamin for about 5 months now. Wish he would cut down on the coffee but he is pretty sure by now that he has super sperm..... Hmm we shall see!

WinterBabyof89 · 27/01/2015 12:16

Ahh okay.. I shall consult with dr google haha :)

purdey's the reason I looked into maca haha.. Font of knowledge that she is Grin

browneyedgirl thanks lovey, and to anybody that I've missed xxx

PurdeyBirdie · 27/01/2015 12:17

I agree, Winter, you should feel as free to talk about your daughter as anyone else who mentions their tots. I try not to talk about my ten month old but that's because I don't want to be insensitive to those desperate for a baby and suffering with ttc. I am glad you felt happy to share with us.

Victoria, I reckon the pain is from the uti - and if you give up ttc 'cos of hubby's spermz I shall give up due to being 43 with one tube Remind me of your husband's sperm details: motility, volume, morphology..

mummyofonesofar · 27/01/2015 12:20

And could my BFP date please change to 24/2 - so far at the back on this bus now!! But hopefully at least I won't be missing Feb all together Grin

WinterBabyof89 · 27/01/2015 12:24

mummy super sperm comment made me laugh..

My DH has a pretty terrible diet..so I've encouraged him to up his veg intake, which has worked because he's at least having veg with his tea - he point blank refuses to eat fruit.. But progress is progress Smile

dojo123 · 27/01/2015 12:25

*Achey not hey!

australopithecus · 27/01/2015 12:25

Thanks for sharing winter an thanks for making me laugh purdey. Hallo newcomers. Or "mewcommers" as I originally typed.

nightandthelight · 27/01/2015 12:27

Hugs winterFlowers

mummy my DH also refers to his super sperm, if we conceive first time round I wi never hear the end of it!

browneyedgirl86 · 27/01/2015 12:28

Hi lovedoge I know how you feel. I'm in the same boat. I had sinusitis and In my good days DP was on nightshift and I was on day shift! It's crappy when life gets in the way!!

ibeka · 27/01/2015 12:33

Glad it's not just my OH who is convinced he has super-sperm! His diet is OK but he drinks far too much alcohol and coffee.... If a BFP this month I shall get him on the maca root Grin

Allstoppedup · 27/01/2015 12:36

Oh good Lord! When I told my DP about our BFP last night he actually did a sort of "shooting from the hip" gun motion with his hands whilst thrusting and proceeded to tell me how super his sperm must be...

Oh dear...

dojo123 · 27/01/2015 12:38

winter thank you for talking about your dd and your loss. I'm sorry that this happened to you but it is lovely to hear from someone who has gone through this and is positive to Tcc again, same goes for all those who have mc. Huge bunch of Flowers to all.
My mum mc her ds before me. I always think of him even though she never talks of her loss.

victoria401 · 27/01/2015 12:41

winter my dh has only 2% normal sperm so conception for us is hard. We have been ttc #1 for over 2 years. He's been on wellman vits since last May and hardly any improvement. Think I should trade him in for a new model!

Meemoll · 27/01/2015 12:42

Hi ladies, can I join? I've been lurking around and started a couple of threads but just discovered you all here today and hope it's ok if I jump on board. We're not TTC but had a weird bleed a couple of weeks ago that I convinced myself was implantation, and since then I've had sore nips, felt sick a bit, convinced myself that my trousers are too tight by lunchtime, and had vivid dreams. All this and I keep having bfns although my af is a week and a half late. Also I still love coffee so i take that as a bad sign. So can I join you all for some symptom spotting?

victoria401 · 27/01/2015 12:47

Oh and purdey my dh has a good count (last was 58 million, prev was 75!) And good motility around the 48-50% mark. Its just the morphology, first was 2%, second was 5% and third was 2% again. They only let you do iui if its over 4% hence the cancellation this cycle :-(
