Just starting out on this ttc mission and need some advice, what can I do this month to increase my chances, someone has told me to drink grapefruit juice??? Also what about drinking during this month, do most people stop drinking once they find out they are pregnant or when they are trying???
Thanks

Folic acid, check for the most fertile time of the month (about half way through your cycle), no alcohol, minimal caffeine whilst trying and lots of sex! I don't know if it helped (and I am sorry if it is a bit gross) but after sex I would use a tampon to keep as many of the little swimmers inside and and I laid on the bed with my feet up in the air for a little while after - not very romantic but I fell within a month of trying! Probably just very lucky! There will be loads of replies I am sure but these are the basic ones. Good luck I hope you fall quickly

You do not need to use a tampon or lift your legs up after sex - these are just myths. Some sperm does leak out after intercourse, this is quite normal. Enough sperm will reach the cervix from where they will not escape.

Would suggest you not time intercourse at all but to make love when you both feel like it. Two or three times a week throughout your cycle is fine.

I used to think the same as Attila that it did not make a difference what position you are in, the sperm will find the cervix but I have seen so many people with BFPs on here say that all they did differently that cycle was put their legs up after sex that I am going to give it a whirl - what harm can it do?! This is my 4th cycle of trying so I am still quite new to it all too.
