LH, ovulation and urine samples - any experts around?

I wonder if anyone could shed any light on a question I have concerning ovulation testing.

I am using the Clearblue advanced fertility monitor and cheapie ovulation sticks. With the Clearblue monitor you are advised to use first morning urine as hormones will be the most concentrated. However on the cheapie ovulation information leaflet it says do NOT use first morning urine samples as LH is synthesised in your body early in the morning. It will not show up in your urine until later in the day. Says best time to collect urine is between 10am-8pm.

Are there any experts who can explain why they are advising different things.

Thanks

I don't know why the advise different times, but I have used both at the same time to check accuracy and can confirm that the advanced monitor works fine at 5pm, got the same result as with the cheapy sticks! X

Hi Sammy
Thanks for responding. Were you using FMU at 5pm?
