Bfn clearblue digital day before period...

I usually spot about 2-3 days before my period starts. Period is due tomorrow. No spotting. Bfn on pregnancy test taken this morning (but not first thing..). We are ttc number 2... I thought I was out after the negative digital test but with the no spotting it's keeping me on tenterhooks! I'm also on holiday at the moment and not sure if I should be drinking or not (not held back but not gone crazy...) what should I do? Test in a couple of days if no period? I figured a negative on the day before your period meant you are definitely out though? Sorry, really overthinking things....

Ps I think your DD at 4 will love having a brother or sister and helping out! My DD will have turned 2 in the August so god knows what she will be like!

poppy I'm the same it hasn't sunk in and worried more this time - how odd! With dd we were part of a trial at the local hospital ( living in different county now) and we had scans @12, 24,28, 32 and 36 weeks . She has a whole book of scans as had about 25 photos in total!
No reassurance scan will be happening here what will be will be. Just hoping the scan will be when dd is in pre school as I know lots of places don't let children in. The good thing is I've just heard from her pre school that she'll get first dips for pre school sessions from sept so we ll be choosing them soon Smile

Thanks frusso! Alien - That's great you had so many scans last time, must have been so reassuring. I had an extra one at 31 weeks too, not sure if I will this time. I work full time so not sure how will bluff the time off, hoping its on a Wednesday when I work from home as will be easier!! Will have to do that for booking in appointment and scan, sigh - so much easier after 12 weeks when you can tell people!

Yes I agree! Although I told my first person today a very close friend who knows all about us ttc . She guessed as soon as she saw me!
My booking appt is sooo long away. I had my last one at home and onto just remembered that. I'm going to ask them if there is any chance they could do it at my home as much easier with dd as she can play in her playroom! Fingers crossed they could do that for me..

Have you got your booking appointment already? I've just been to docs to send off self referral form. I remember last time it was about 8 weeks? It seems like an AGE until scan at 12 weeks doesn't it?! Am hoping life being more hectic with the DDs this time round will mean it goes quicker for us!

Yes I'll be 10 weeks! My last one was at 8 weeks. Hoping I'll be ok skiing , did it last time 8 weeks pregnant but tiny bit worries especially as I spend most of my time on my butt haha.
It's so so dragging for me also I can't seem to do up my jeans now- how?!
How r u? I have no symptoms still x

You will be fine skiing alien, baby still small and tucked away then, but take it easy and lots of hot choc breaks, no speed demoning! ;)

I feel pretty symptomless too, weeing quite a bit but maybe that's all the water I'm drinking, feel a little tired -but I do most days anyway!!

Phew glad I'm not alone in the few symptoms! Were you the same with dd?it still hasn't really sunk in for me yet.don't like wishing my life away but want 4 weeks to fly by for booking appt then goodness knows when scan would be!

Got sore boobs with DD around 6 weeks and felt a little sick but not too bad. Panicking this morning as stupidly took my last clear blue digi and said 2-3 weeks, surely should be 3+ by now as over 5 weeks (just)? Have you taken any more alien ?

I think that's right isn't it as if you were 2-3 a few days ago? I haven't done anymore Digi s as don't have anymore. May buy one more in a couple of weeks. I'm trying to relax but so hard. I seem to be more worries with no.2 than 1, I think it's because I desperately want a sibling for her x

Yes I'm waiting for new cheapie tests to come through the post to triple check!!so paranoid . Trying to get positive and think reality is I have 6/7 weeks until I even know if there is a baby ! Boobs starting to hurt so that's good?! Although my nice bras I spent all my Xmas shopping vouchers on are not going to fit much longer Hmm
How are you doing?
We must be exactly the same - so 7 weeks next week? Lost track hahaha

Hey alien! I think I'm 6 weeks next week, my last period started on xmas eve and I usually have 28 day cycles. I don't think it will feel real until I have a scan either, which is ages! Boobs starting to hurt a little and am sooooo tired. Took a first response yesterday on a whim and came up v quickly and dark so that satisfied me for oooh 48 hours?! Hope you are having a nice weekend? I could kill for a strong coffee right now...dammit!

Hiya :-) I also took couple of cheapie tests this evening and boom quickest strongest line ever! I think I'm around the same as you as last period was 18th dec but been having 35 day cycles.
I am missing my wine and coping on de caf tea! I am trying to cut down my chocolate intake but really struggling! Doesn't help that I made choc fairy cakes yday that keep staring at me!
Told my mum today who is delighted but had to control it in front of ddSmile

Hi I'm new here and in a similar situation.. AF was due a few days ago so on day of missed period i took a cheap pregnancy test which came back BFN. I also took a clear blue digital the next day which also came back BFN. I have had slight cramps for about a week now but no sign of AF. I had the same sort of cramps with first pregnancy where I thought my period was just around the corner so I didn't take a test for 2 weeks which came back BFP. I was 6 weeks pregnant when I took that test and at that point I was having textbook pregnancy symptoms (although did not make it past 8 weeks pregnant). Wondering if there is a chance I could be pregnant now if there is still no AF (despite the 2 BFNs). Confused

Hi Maz, I think as long as your period hasn't come there is still a chance! I didn't get a positive test, and faint at that, until a couple of days after I expected my period this time. If your period still doesn't come in a day or two I would definitely test again - try a first response one perhaps. What type have you used so far?

Sorry you said you took a clearblue digital! Same that gave me a negative the day my period was due - I'm not sure they are all that sensitive, even though they claim you can test early

Yes she's happy :) not told my dad yet....not sure how he will be! Yay yo 3+ on digi! I'm not getting one until,next week- I'll be glad when I've done this skiing holiday as can have spare pennies to last me lol. I am getting cramps now which as usual is worrying me.... Have you had any? I can't relax ever, constantly running around doing things, so now I'm laying on my sofa with dd eating lunch and watching rubbish kids tv for a bit, also seem to start the day with a flat tummy and now all flabby haha.
I'm tempted to get a scan at 10 weeks before we go skiing ...

Hi poppy- how you doing? All my symptoms ( sore boobs etc ) have gone today causing me to panic! Can do Digi clearblue on Monday but such a wait until then Hmmam toying with early scan- are you having one?
Also I am still hungry but how am I supposed to not eat more food when constantly hungry?!

Hi alien! I'm ok, I don't have sore boobs or anything really....a little worried about that but should also count ourselves lucky I guess! I'm annoyed though as my docs don't appear to have faxed my referral to the hospital so I have had to ask them to do it again, was really looking forward to getting my appointment dates but now looks like it will be weeks until I do Hmm they better have space!! We have decided to have an early scan at 8 weeks, just to ease my mind! 12 weeks just seemed too far...but I don't think it is necessary, I'm just too impatient!

I'm the same not many symptoms. Keep toying with the idea of an early scan around 10 weeks but pointless as 1) place doesn't do them when dh is home and 2) so close to the nhs one.
Not sure what to do.
I am feeling really really tired but other than that normal!

Ive had spotting & cramps.eased now so going to see how it goes tomorrow.going to book a scan though.not sure when's a good time to do it?
Think I'll go to docs tomorrow if I can get an appt.doubt I'll get referred for a scan though
