What is up with the opks?!

I am 30, been natural family planning for six years.

28 day cycle. Unfailingly have lots of EWCM between CD10-14 then feel one sided abdominal pressure around 11/12 and then very sharp twangy ache on one side CD14/15 and exactly 14 days later AF arrives. So I have always thought this means ovulation.

On CD 12 today. Like always EWCM started arriving CD10, felt one sided abdominal pressure yesterday, all on course for OV on 14.

But CB Digital opk still shows nada. Blank circle. Tested just now first urine after longest sleep.

Never used opks before and have suddenly realised maybe my body makes all these highly regular false signs? EWCM, PAIN all of it is perhaps some weird false ovulation signs because surely according to my body I shouldn't be having a blank circle on CD12 of what is looking like a perfectly normal cycle to the highly fertility/cycle aware eyes of a natural family planner like me?

Very disheartened that maybe my body doesn't ovulate at all and I have been tricked by it :(

PS to add I only bought the kit yesterday I.e. CD11 and tested afternoon of CD11 and now morning of CD12.

Have never before used any sort of opk and done natural contraception based entirely on reading my many signs of ovulation but obviously now with this result I feel disheartened.

Sorry to drop feed but only just realised that my cycles are not always 28 but rather have been ranging between 25-28 for past six months averaging at 26.5 or something over past half year.

So, maybe for a 26.5 day average I should have started testing earlier than CD11 when already I had started getting EWCM the previous day? Maybe because I began late on CD11 the kit started measuring after my LH had already surged?

You're right in your final post. Also, try and stick to the same time each day, as per the instructions. Always fmu for cb dual hormone (assuming that's what you have).
Temping might help too. Good luck
