If a person slept with somebody once on the 14th February and gave birth to a baby on the 5th December would this be possible? Do these dates add up correctly? When would the babies expected date be? Would the due date be the 22nd November? Do Mums to be actually go over 14 days?

Um. I cannot be entirely sure I guess you are a guy wondering if a baby could be yours.
If mum ovulated around 14th Feb then the due date would be 7th November (huge caveat here because we don't know how long her cycles are and whether she even ovulated at this time - sperm can live up to 5 days approx in her).
Yes, mums go over 14 days. I went to 16 days. Especially if it's her first baby.
I doubt this baby was from the 14th Feb though. Sounds like sex she may have had a few weeks later.
Please note - I really can't be sure. Just trying to help.

Yeah quite possibly. If the add was 22 November the baby could have been 2 weeks, or do they not let women go that far over now.

I conceived on the 12th of Jan and my due date was the 4th Oct so your dates seem a tad long to me.

blondiewoowoo1 · 15/01/2015 16:27

I conceived between 1 - 3rd Mar and my DD was 17th Nov.

Myfourblondies · 15/01/2015 16:32

I would say that it is possible, yes. If conception happened around 18th/19th Feb then edd could be 22 Nov, surely? And yes, I was 16 days over with dd1, 12 days over with ds and 14 days over with dd2

Myfourblondies · 15/01/2015 16:33

Also we don't know her cycle length or anything

Murphy29 · 15/01/2015 16:33

I conceived 15th/16th Feb (tracked ovulatuon) and due date was 11 November so that seems a bit long to me

*ovulation

Pregnancy is 40 weeks from first day of last period, so let say she has regular 28 day cycles. If you DTD on 14/2 and sperm lived for 5 days for a 19/02 ovulation then her first day of last period couldn't be later than 3/02. 40 weeks from then is 10/11 so that would be the latest due date.

Depends how long the cycle is. If she had exceptionally long cycles of say 42 days then it is possible.

Are you asking if - with a normal cycle and a due date of 10/11, could the baby be born on 22nd November. Answer - Yes (I was 16 days late with my Son - they have to induce you at 14 days but my labour lasted 2)

If instead you are asking if - with a normal cycle - A predicted due date given by the midwife is 22 Nov after 14/2 sex. Answer no. Unless her cycles were very long as described above.
