Hello all lurkers! If you're in the same position as me - have waited to ttc, started your journey, encountered problems etc. and throughout it all have used this forum to read up and follow the journeys of others...

Thought it might be good to start a thread and inspire a de-lurking. Every month since I've been ttc I've wanted to join a bus but scared to de lurk! Got thinking tonight that maybe there are other people out there who are in the same position.

My story. I'm Camry, I'm 29 and have been ttc 6 months properly. Been diagnosed with pcos and not ovulating. Got an apponitment at the of month with fertility specialist to hopefully start clomid but living in Australia means it's an expensive and slow process. Ttc has been a torturous process so far. Thought it would be piss easy!

So lurkers come have a chat and let's see if we cam make this whole thing a little bit easier.

Hi Camry

Why aren't you in bed?! It was like 2am in Australia when you posted right?!

I'm Lemon and I'm 31 and have been ttc #1 for 3-4 months. I'm a semi-lurker, just started posting in the last few days having spent months reading and learning....

No luck re getting up the duff just yet - thought the omens were good this month (while simultaneously furiously telling myself not to get my hopes up). Unfortunately while I was a couple of days late the 'spotting' seems to have turned into full flow. Boooooo Sad

Still, it does mean more furious shagging next month and wine at the weekend, so it's not all doom and gloom - just got to keep the faith!

Sounds like you've had a bit of a rough one - how did you find out about the pcos? was that before or after starting ttc? I know exactly what you mean about thinking it would be piss easy - I always assumed it would be instant! I haven't been trying that long in the grand scheme of things, but my sister got preggers first go and it make the wait seem longer!

Hey! I very rarely post, but am on here almost daily just browsing :P
Been TTC #1 for around 2 years now, although in fairness not always making it a priority as quite a few months have been totally missed during the 'window'. Having said that, I know it needs investigating, so am arranging my Dr appt to get bloods done for ovulation tests. Though I really think its more to do with the fact im really quite overweight for my height - or rather lack of height haha.

I agree that its always assumed getting pregnant would be piss easy. Especially when you see others who just cough and end up pregnant. Can be a bit of a kick!

Hello Ladies,

Been lurking for a while and posted on a couple of things a couple of days ago for the first time.

Diagnosed with PCOS 3 years ago. Came off the pill April 2014, started TTC for #1 end of July 2014. Not a peep. I've had one period since April 14 and that was in August 14 (on my Hen do!). Don't know if I have any sort of cycle. Beginning to get a little frustrated and upset. Giving it a few more weeks and then talking to my GP as it's been 6 months.

Fab thread!
Hey all, been lurking for a while, reading most days. TTC #1 since June 2014. PCOS, oh for years. I was put on the pill to regulate which may have helped actually as I do seem to be ovulating and been having periods since coming off it. This was my first month of using clearblue opks, got a solid smiley face Thursday night, dtd this morning which might be a little late but staying positive, if you'll pardon the pun. Also trying to lose weight so lots going on in poor brain! PP

Hello again lurkers! The Internet has been down here since Friday, a frustrating part of living in the middle of nowhere!

lemoni may or may not have been drinking wine into the wee hours as I made the most of the remaining few days holiday... Sadly back to work tomorrow, sob.

The pcos diagnosis came after we started to ttc. Was on various pills for 13 years (eek) but came off at the start of 2014 to see if things were ok. Only had 2 periods in that time and once we decided to ditch the condoms i had a mammoth 100 day cycle. Went to the doctors and fibbed a bit about how long we had been ttc so they sent me for a ultrasound. Ovaries are covered in the little fuckers!

chickens I totally und stand how disheartening it is when you don't even get the chance to have go because you don't know if there is ovulation even happening. I'd maybe go see the doctor sooner rather than later. The way I justified it was its not like we've had 6 cycles and it's going to take forever if I left it to my non ovulating body!

popcorn how exciting for you with the opk and getting the timing right. Are you ready for a few weeks of hyper vigilance on every twinge?!

Any pcos or other lurkers tried clomid? I've got my first fertility appointment at the end of the month and it looks like that's the route we're going to try first...excited, impatient, and a little bit scared.

God that was long. You can tell I've been Internet deprived for a few days!

Welcome to tainted as another fellow lurker/browser. I am on here all the time. Think I may live a bit vicariously through others ttc stories as Its not going well for us! Have you tried opks to see if they give you any further clues?

camry good luck with the appointment Smile
I'd like to think I won't twinge spot but I know what I'm like. Trying to stay chilled out about it anyway!
