TTC but irregular periods

I have been TTC since September but so far no success :( It has not been easy so far because my periods are irregular, and was difficult to figure out my ovulation patterns. Anyone with the same experience? Would be grateful for some tips.

Was quite lucky though, a friend told me of a local study (based in a London hosp) where they provide you with free clearblue advanced fertility monitors for 12 months! :) The monitors have helped me somewhat, and the doctors/midwives on the study team have been supportive, even with just general advice on understanding my cycles and pregnancy. Hoping for a BFP soon!

Just thought I would share with others in the same position - maybe it would help one of you girls.

Hi sploinky

I was in the same position as you and have been ttc since September.

I am now on a course of acupuncture which has brought be down to a 33 day cycle. Couldn't recommend enough!

Hi sploinky

I was diagnosed with PCOS just over 3 years ago. Came of the pill in April 2014, been ttc with my Husband since end of July 2014. I've had 1 period between July and now (August, on my Hen Do I might add!!). No idea what my body is doing. I have no actual cycle to go by. It's only been 6 months but i'm beginning to feel upset and frustrated. I really hope you get your BFP soon! X

@cantbelieveimdoingthisagain

Thanks for your suggestion! I am thinking of giving acupuncture a go - any specific course you'd recommend?

@Chickens1987
Good luck - hopefully your periods will regulate soon enough and you get a BFP too! It is good to know that I am not alone...

Hi I have pcos and really long and irregular cycles. We tried Ttc for a year with no luck - then bought a clear blue monitor and got pregnant on that cycle . It really helped us so hopefully will work for you too. I found it took some if the stress away x
